First calf of the year, and it’s a special one! An AI calf sired by an older, well known bull. This breed is called a British White Park. We only have a handful of them, but we can’t help but diversify and try new things! Read on to learn about the breeds history👇🏻
From ancient Rome to modern farms, White Park cattle have a story built on survival.
Originally kept by Romans and Britons, these white cattle went wild for centuries after Rome left England—surviving 1,500 years of natural selection where only the strongest lived on. Later protected in royal parks, they continued to thrive without human interference, developing exceptional hardiness, fertility, and disease resistance.
Brought to the U.S. in the early 1900s and formally organized by breeders in 1975, today’s White Park cattle carry generations of resilience—nature-tested and built to last.
