Flavor & Comfort went from a pop-up to a FOOD TRUCK! Itās still surreal to say that out loud. Iāve always had a vision for what Flavor & Comfort could become, but seeing that vision come to life is something special. Iām a home cook, and I wear that title with pride. I have no formal culinary experience. Food Network taught me about 95% of what I know! But thatās what I love about home cooking. Thereās soul, love, and something special in food made from the heart. Iāve always said our food feels like a hug on a plate, and thatās exactly what I want Flavor & Comfort to represent.
There are so many people who have helped me along the way, but I have to give a special shoutout to Jenn. Flavor & Comfort wouldnāt be what it is without her. She does so much behind the scenes that people may never see, and Iām forever grateful for her. And of course, my girls. This business is bigger than me. Iām building something for them, something they can be proud of, and hopefully something that becomes part of their legacy. My goal is for Flavor & Comfort to become one of Columbiaās staples, right alongside places like Murryās, Tonyās, Shakespeareās, G&D, and Broadway Brewery. I want us to be a place people grow up going to, bring their families to, and remember for years to come.
Going from a pop-up to a food truck was goal number one, and we did it! Now itās time to work toward the next goal: a brick-and-mortar location and beyond. But weāll save that story for another day. To everyone who has supported me, tried our food, shared a post, placed an order, booked us for an event, or simply encouraged me along the way, THANK YOU!
