With Wings & Ale at Outlet Point resuming pre-Covid business operations today they are delaying the start of live entertainment until next week.
So this means 3 things:
3.) Trivia for Tuesday June 16th will not happen after all good people. My apologies.
2.) Mark it down, etch it in stone, have it tattooed (if you are into that sort of thing): Trivia Night will resume June 23rd at 8pm thru 10pm(ish)
1.) They actually consider me entertainment!
I'll be posting categories by lunch on Sunday. Y'all be safe, you all next week!

Good evening, and a happy weekend to all of you out there! The staff at Wings-N-Ale Live Trivia (both of us) have recently decided-based on the results of an arm wrestling match between staff members and not one shred of scientific data, to delay the resumption of Trivia Night on 6/9/20. If it matters, I lost the aforementioned arm wrestling match. Seriously, just hang in there people, we love all of you, be safe, and we will look to get the ball rolling ASAP. For now, ASAP is on 6/16/20. We will keep you posted!

We know everyone has been anxiously awaiting the comeback of Tuesday Night Trivia. DRUM ROLL... June 9th will be our first week back. This will be one week before our "Summer Tournament" begins, just to get everyone into the swing of things. We will be posting regular updates, clues, hints, and ways to score bonus points so be on the lookout. Thanks and have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend!!

05/20/2020

We would like to thank you all for voicing your comments/concerns. Please continue to do so. I also wanted to add that we check the temperatures of each staff member prior to their shift, disinfect all common contact surfaces regularly, serve all menu items in disposable containers, and (at the risk of being confused as doctors and nurses) all of our servers wear masks. We will be in touch, y'all do the same!

Greetings everyone! I hope all of you are doing well. Notice that I didn't say anything like, "During these (pick one) challenging, tough, trying, unprecedented, or difficult times." I hope you all are doing well. I think that is how every commercial, ad, or PSA begins during these....oops! I almost did it. Anyway, from what I've witnessed at work a lot of people are simply afraid to come out and socially interact no matter the level of safety precautions we (or anyone) takes. This is completely understandable during these...damn! While I do want to start Trivia Night back up in the next few weeks, I need to gauge the level of interest out there from you all. Soooooo, let me know. Take care my friends, God Bless!

05/12/2020

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, or had anything worthy of being posted. However, the gradual reopening of businesses in SC over the last 9 days has changed that. As of this moment Trivia will not be held next week. We are essentially in a holding pattern for now, but I fully expect for Trivia to resume by the last Tuesday of May or the first Tuesday of June. Baby steps my Trivia Friends!
Also, this delayed start will set us up nicely for our Summer Trivia Tourney. Which, if everything goes according to plan, will begin on June 9th. I will be in touch, y'all do the same. Stay safe!

Howdy folks! Anyone out there miss Trivia Night yet? I hope the response was a unanimous "$@* # Yes!" because I miss the hell out of every last one of y'all!! Okay, enough mushy stuff 😁 it's time to post a few questions- past time actually. I seem to remember saying I would do this every week. Anyway let's not bother with details.
1. According to the best/most recent data gathered by the really smart people at NASA (not NAPA) what is the most dense object in our Solar System? This includes moons, planets, asteroids, dwarf-planets, anything.

2. Which of these MLB pitchers faced the most batters in their pro career? By the way, Cy Young faced the most.
A. Roger Clemens
B. Nolan Ryan
C. Don Sutton
D. Greg Maddux

3. Which female artist had the most successful concert tour of 2019 (gross ticket sales)?
A. Cher
B. Ariana Grande
C. Pink
That's it! Hold on to these answers. Take care.

Goooooood morning everyone. I hope that you all are doing well out there. Suzanne, Leroy (our son/dog) and myself have just finished plastic wrapping the entire exterior of our house to protect us from any cooties. Think of it as a house condom.... What could go wrong right? Anyway, another week has come and gone without Trivia Night, but I promised you some questions, and before I jump into my bleach bath I want to post them. This will be the 2nd edition of questions, and you will be seeing most of them again. I going to shut up now and post them. Damn, did y'all know that I ramble? Be careful, stay safe, God Bless, see ya soon!!
1. George Ballas might not be famous, but he made millions with something he invented in 1977. What was it?
A. Video Cassette Recorder
B. W**d Whacker
C. Super Glue

2. What Power 5 Conference team was officially nicknamed “The Purple” before changing their name in 1924 to what we call them by today?

3. "You go back to her" but Amy Winehouse goes ______ on the title track to her most successful and (unfortunately) her final album.

03/18/2020

Just going to throw these questions out and see what happens. I am not going to post any answers yet. Originally, I was going to have 4 USC & 4 Fire Fly baseball tickets to hand out for the 1st team to get these questions correct, but...

1. 3 years ago (3/17/20) the University of SC men's basketball team defeated Marquette by 20 points in the NCAA Tournament, what city were they in?

2. Which of these "Greats" was born first?
a. Alexander the Great
b. Charles the Great (Charlemagne)
c. Cyrus the Great
d. Catherine the Great

3. The Irish flag has 3 colors, green, orange, and white. What color represents the Protestants? If you answer anything other than green , orange, or white it is wrong.

03/17/2020

Since large social gatherings are being discouraged by the CDC, as well as by state and local governments who have also stated that (I'm paraphrasing) common occurrances of restaurants (and other businesses) failing to comply with these recommendations will likely result in curfews being implemented, Wings and Ale LIVE Trivia is cancelled for this evening. I repeat TRIVIA FOR TONIGHT IS CANCELLED (sorry for yelling, Trivia makes me sooooo intense)
Perhaps next week we can all wear hazmat suits or douse ourselves in bleach before Trivia starts? Maybe I could start a Trivia Podcast ( hmmmm that ACTUALLY might be something one day?!?). Bottom line is: I love you people, and I want you all safe at home with jugs of hand sanitizer, not here, until some of this hysteria blows over. I will be in touch this evening, and I will even be posting possible trivia questions ( not all will be used) over the next few days! Take care everyone!!!
Eric
