I’ve been posting my Roosters lately. These are a couple of my young Welsummer cockerels. They still need to do some more growing out before I decide who’s “Top Dog”. 😊😊

They have some beautiful eggs that are an inspiration to strive for.

The girls are doing better these days!!!

My Penedesenca girls went on strike for several weeks but one decided to give me a Christmas present and start laying again. She’s giving me these beautiful speckled eggs right now.

Merry Christmas to me from my girls!!!!

From zero a few days ago to 7 today. The days are getting longer!!!

Those blue ones… are the first I’ve gotten from them in over a month. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

That’s how many eggs I got today!!!

You can certainly tell that today is the shortest day of the year. Out of 18 possibilities I got ZERO!!! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

PenBars

The newest addition to our chicken flock are these sweet, week old PenBars. Such pretty little chicks!!! I cannot wait for these little girls to grow up and to see the color of their eggs. Their eggs will be some shade of OLIVE.

We will be able to tell the girls from the boys when they hatch… making it possible to ensure our customers get guaranteed layers when they grow up!!!

We will be hatching out chicks to sell in 2025… as soon as the girls decide to start laying again. 🤷‍♀️They do have a mind of their own.

I will keep you posted as they grow!!!

It’s always fun to watch the youngin’s first time out to do a little free ranging. 😊😊

These are my “Ginger Snap” girls (and boys I guess). They are a hybrid specialty. They will lay green eggs. The girls are a beautiful ginger color (the white ones you see are boys), which means I can s*x them at hatch. They also have a sweet little p**f on top of their heads. 😊😊

I can’t wait to see what their eggs do look like. Hopefully by the end of January we will know.
