Happy to have this piece of craft beer history up and running today. According to our late friend Dave Alexander, this was the first (or possibly second) randall ever made — and the first to pour beer in the wild when it graced his bar at the historic Brickskeller in Washington DC ( might be able to help us verify whether it was one or two).
We are running our brown ale through bananas, fluff, nilla wafers, and peanut butter. It’s delicious!
When Dave and his wife found their way to Nashville, they opened the , and they would make the trek down to setup up at our old spot. Busy, slow, horrible weather — didn’t matter; they’d stay until the end of the night and Dave would come in, share beers, and tell me stories about the craft beer scene before I was born. The beer industry has afforded me lots of fun memories; those with Dave are a standout.
