As we prepare for the move to our new facility, we wanted to provide some detail about why we’re moving and what you can expect in the new space.
Just over three years ago funding for a brand new state-of-the-art meat science lab was secured by the University of Missouri. The new project was named The Michael L. Parson Meat Science Education and Training Laboratory, named after the former governor who helped secure this funding. This facility allows the meat science teaching, research, extension, and Mizzou Meat Market to all be housed in one space. Along with the new production and retail space, the building will feature state-of-the-art research laboratories and an advanced classroom space for teaching and extension activities.
Below you will see the new signage on the building, which represents all things to do with Meats here on campus. Our new retail space is just behind the glass windows to the right of the outdoor signage. We will share additional sneak peaks over the next couple of weeks to ensure you find our new space!
