The first day of autumn has arrived, and we are officially ready for cooler mornings, changing leaves, cozy kitchens, and all the flavors of fall! 🧡

Of course, everything is just a little sweeter with AnnaBees Honey.

At AnnaBees Honey, we have so much to be thankful for.

We're grateful for the bees that continually remind us what hard work and teamwork can accomplish. 🐝

We're grateful for the land, flowers, and changing seasons that make this life possible. 🌻

We're grateful for our family, friends, and community who encourage us along the way. ❤️

And we're especially grateful for YOU—every person who buys a jar of honey, stops to talk with us at an event, shares one of our posts, recommends AnnaBees to a friend, or simply takes an interest in what we're doing. When you support a small family business, those little things mean more than you may realize.

🍎🍯🐝 Honey Across America: New York! 🐝🍯🗽

Our Honey Across America journey is headed to the Empire State—New York!

New York may be famous for skyscrapers and Broadway, but travel beyond the city and you'll find orchards, farms, forests, and fields providing plenty of opportunities for busy bees. 🌳🌼

Throughout the season, New York honey bees can forage on blooms including apple and cherry blossoms, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, clover, basswood, goldenrod, and asters. Cornell's beekeeping calendar notes that goldenrod can provide an especially important nectar flow later in the summer.

🍎 New York Bee Fact: Bees play an important role in the state's famous apple industry! New York beekeepers rent colonies to help pollinate crops including apples, berries, pumpkins, and legumes.

🐝 New York takes its bees seriously, too! Cornell University's Dyce Lab provides honey-bee research, education, and support for beekeepers throughout the state, while the New York State Beekeeper Tech Team works directly with beekeepers to improve colony health.

From springtime apple blossoms 🍎🌸 to fields of goldenrod in late summer, New York gives its bees plenty of work to do—and gives us another sweet stop on our journey across America! 🇺🇸🍯

🇺🇸✈️🐝 Happy National Air Force Day from AnnaBees Honey! 🐝✈️🇺🇸

Today we proudly recognize the men and women of the United States Air Force—past and present—and thank them for their service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. ❤️🤍💙

And here at AnnaBees, we have an extra reason to talk about Airmen AND bees!

Did you know that honey bees and pollinator conservation have found a place on Air Force installations? Wright-Patterson Air Force Base became the first U.S. military installation to be designated a Bee City USA, recognizing its commitment to protecting bees and other pollinators. 🐝🌼

But the connection between beekeeping and those who serve is personal for us, too.

Our lead beekeepers, Jeff and Laura, are proud participants in Hives for Heroes, an organization that brings veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and experienced beekeepers together through beekeeping, mentorship, education, and community. 🐝🇺🇸

We love that something as small as a honey bee can bring people together through service, purpose, community, and a shared love of the hive.

Today, though, the spotlight belongs to our Airmen. ✈️

To everyone who has worn the United States Air Force uniform—and to the families who serve alongside them—thank you.

🇺🇸 National POW/MIA Recognition Day — You Are Not Forgotten 🇺🇸

Today, AnnaBees Honey pauses to honor the American service members who were prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action.

We remember their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.
We stand with the families who have waited, hoped, and carried their loved ones' memories through the years.

The words on the POW/MIA flag say it simply and powerfully: YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

May we never forget those who served, those who returned, and those who have yet to come home. ❤️🤍💙

Now THIS is a celebration we can get behind! 💛

National Honey Month is the perfect time to celebrate the incredible little workers behind one of nature’s sweetest foods—honey bees!

At AnnaBees Honey, honey is more than something we put in a jar. It represents hours spent caring for our colonies, watching the seasons change, learning from our bees, and appreciating just how much work goes into every drop. 🐝🌼

And there are so many ways to enjoy it!
