🐝🍯 Honey Across America: Massachusetts! 🍯🐝
In honor of Massachusetts Day, our AnnaBees Honey journey across America is buzzing into the Bay State! 🇺🇸
Massachusetts may be famous for its history, cranberries, and beautiful New England scenery, but it also has a thriving beekeeping tradition. From coastal areas to farms, orchards, meadows, and backyard gardens, Massachusetts bees can forage on a wonderful variety of plants throughout the season.
🌸 Depending on where the hives are located and what’s blooming, Massachusetts honey may include nectar from clover, wildflowers, fruit blossoms, goldenrod, aster, basswood, and other native and cultivated plants. That means the color and flavor of local honey can change throughout the year—one of our favorite things about truly local honey!
🐝 Massachusetts Bee Fact: The official state insect is the ladybug, but honeybees play an important role in pollinating many of the crops and plants grown throughout the state.
From Mississippi to Massachusetts, every jar of local honey tells the story of the flowers, seasons, and bees that produced it. 🍯🌼
