We have some gorgeous 4-packs of flowers still available for purchase online and picked up here at the farm. And look! Most every cell has two plants in it so it’s a buy one get one free kinda thing.

Orange marigolds!
Zinnias in yellow, pink, scarlet and carmine (fishy’s pink)!
Cosmos in snowpuff (white), double click pink (white and pink mix), and rose bon bon (pink with yellow centers)!

The flowers are huge so remember to cut off the top of encourage branching. Seems harsh but it’s the right thing to do.

Plus more flowers, vegetables and herbs available in the online shop.

All seedlings were grown by us from seed in our greenhouse and are USDA certified organic.

Drip irrigation doing its thing.

Thankfully we have a pond from which to irrigate that will likely never dry up (I saw that in the face of very variable weather patterns these days), so they we can provide water to our vegetable crops. While the distance from the pond and the resulting pressure drop prevents overhead watering, we can at least run drip.

It is considered a conservation practice that puts water right where the crops need it and not where they don’t (pathways), which is rather efficient. It reduces w**d pressure in the paths since they don’t get watered as well, but makes cultivation a little trickier with all the drip lines running everywhere. On our small scale, this system suffices and realistically is all we have the capacity to do.

Soon we will be harvesting our first crops, mostly from under the row cover since it has been such a long and cool spring. It’s been in the 50’s as of late (as a high temp!).

Drip irrigation supplies sources from RainFlo Irrigation out of Pennsylvania.

Thanks for such a robust seedling sale this year!

We do have some flower, herb, and vegetable seedlings left, which are now for sale in our online store on our website www.cloverleighfarm.com so head over there now!

PS - if you bought any flowers, make sure you ‘top’ them by pinching off the growing point or even cutting the top couple inches of the plant with scissors. This will encourage branching and prevent you from getting just a single spindly flower.

PPS - most all of the zinnias, cosmos (Kristen is holding a flat in the photo), and marigolds are two plants in every cell, making them a 2-for-1 deal! A great bang for your buck.

Our Spring Seedling Sale is an annual event that happens mid May of every year. We grow all the plants ourselves from seed and they are USDA certified organic.

Clear as day - or opaque. From a distance you can see the real change that takes place as plastic ages. Each year the plastic on the tunnels becomes more opaque just from the elements. Inside these caterpillar tunnels are sweet peppers and cherry tomatoes.

Tunnels from and new plastic this year from at a custom length!
