Today we lost one of the greatest and most influential Maine-Anjou cows we have had in production.

GVC Charity 027A produced many highly productive bulls including PDD North Star, as well as several daughters who have either competed in the show ring or have joined our herd as performance based dams.

It’s not often that an animal can combine the look needed to compete in the show ring, but also have incredible amounts of middle, mass, and the overall performance that not only keeps up, but excels in the real world.

As the dam of many direct progeny as well as the grand dam of well over 100 calves, her influence in both our herd and the Maine Anjou breed will be sure to continue!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our 2026 bull sale a big success! A special thank you to everyone who purchased, bid, or viewed the bulls in the past few days!

A few of the sale highlights were:

Lot 223 (Step Up) sold for $12,750 to
Randy Schuring of Andover, SD.

Lot 305 (Patriarch) sold for $11,250 to
Wade Weiszhaar of Leola, SD.

Lot 006 (Square Deal) sold for $10,500 to
Chuck Kessler of Leola, SD.

Lot 107 (Step Up) sold for $10,250 to
Wade Weiszhaar of Leola, SD.

Lot 136 (Statesman) sold for $9,500 to
Dennis Durheim of Ellendale, ND.

Lot 139 (Square Deal) sold for $9,250 to Raymond Freeman of Britton, SD.

Sale totals were 24 head sold for an average of $6,708!
