As fall approaches and the return of some of ours and your favorite fall seasonals, summer is putting up one last stand. The forecast is for 85 and sunny this Sunday, when we will be open from 10-4.

Youngstown Cycle & Speed is hosting a car show on the grounds and their Cheeky Tiki contest at 1pm.

We took our rum barreled pina colada smoothie, Furious, and added it our icee machine. For all intents and purposes, it is iced Furious, but that crunch and texture takes it to another level. I think I'll call the iced version Doughboy, but for the day order a Cheeky Tiki.

This Sunday we are hosting Youngstown Cycle & Speed's Columbiana Rumble from 10-4, open to the public and for the first time live music on the lawn. We've stashed a small quantity of Black Sabbath in the cooler and for taps.

Standard Beer in Cincinnati will also have a quantity Sunday in cans to-go.

Another Guest (Vinny Perschka) suggested a watergate salad as smoothie inspiration. We left its namesake as is - as the Watergate scandal fell firmly in our naming conventions.

On June 17, 1972, five men associated with the Nixon reelection campaign were arrested for burglarizing and wiretapping the DNC headquarters at the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. The Nixon administration took aggressive steps to cover-up the crimes, which unraveled in part due to relentless investigation by reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein aided by an anonymous high-level source nicknamed Deep Throat (later revealed to be the FBI Deputy Director, W. Mark Felt). Felt was likely delighted when he learned his pseudonym was lifted from the 1972 p**n chic classic.
