Mountain Meadows Farm

Our Mission: To produce fresh, top quality, healthy fruits and vegetables for local markets using only sustainable, environmentally friendly methods.

About Mountain Meadows Farm: My brothers and I grew up on our family hay farm south of Birmingham with a mantra from our Dad: “Anything worth doing is worth doing right.” When I returned to the farm a decade ago and decided I wanted to grow more than just hay, I did my research, settled on growing primarily fruits, and decided that chemical free was the “right way” to cultivate them. Healthy fruits and vegetables require healthy plants, and healthy plants require healthy soil. Thus, our business cards read, “Alabama Dirt Farmer … It’s all about the soil.” Each year we send our soil samples to the world famous organic soil consultants Kinsey Agricultural Services and often spend more on mineral inputs than we do on our chemical-free fertilizer. And with the further addition of organic matter our soil gets healthier year by year, which means our produce gets better and better.

Come try our Certified Naturally Grown Fruits and Vegetables – you’ll taste the difference!
