Five years ago today, we made our very first sale.

We'll never forget this box.

One customer. One box. One shipping label.

This was the very first online order we ever shipped.

At the time, it felt like a huge milestone. Someone we didn't know personally found us online, placed an order, and trusted us to deliver cookie dough right to their door.

Looking back, it's funny how much excitement could fit inside such a small box.

Since then, we've shipped cookie dough to customers across the country, launched a brand-new website, added new flavors, and grown in ways we never imagined.

But we'll never forget the first one.

What was the first flavor you tried from 3rd & Spoon?

5 years ago this week, we set up for our very first market.

Looking at this photo now, it's hard not to smile.

Notice the three jars on the table?

They weren't actually filled with cookie dough.

At the time, we knew our dough was shelf stable, but we weren't sure how it would handle sitting in the summer sun all day. So we filled a few display jars with dried beans and lined them with colored paper to match our three original flavors. The real inventory stayed tucked away in coolers behind the table.

We didn't offer samples.

We didn't have a fancy display.

We were figuring things out as we went.

What we did have was a lot of hope that someone might stop by and give us a chance.

That day, 26 jars found new homes.

Not bad for a little booth with three prop jars. ❤️

As we get ready to celebrate our 5-year anniversary this Friday, we're incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us along the way.

From those first 26 jars to today, thank you for being part of the journey.

Five years ago today, this was it.

One batch of cookie dough. Our first one ever.

A little kitchen with barely enough room to turn around.

A brand-new depositor we barely knew how to use.

A handful of jars lined up on a table.

And a big dream.

We were just a few days away from our very first market on June 5, 2021—the day 3rd & Spoon made its first sale.

Looking back at this photo, it's hard to believe how much has happened since then.

Thousands of jars made, countless markets attended, lots of new flavors created, and so many amazing customers who have supported us along the way.

As we get ready to celebrate our 5-year anniversary this Friday, we're feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey.
