Happy Women's History Month. We are a bit late to celebrate, but as working women sometimes life an developing a business has you busy! But we want to celebrate all the great women in the NA space that are helping to make drinking differently possible, from the bars owners, drink makers, the bottle shops owners, and social creators. We couldn't let Black History Month end without highlighting this fact...The popular Kentuck Derby drink, the Mint Julep was created by a Black mixologist in Virginia early 1800s. Several Black men have been credited with creating this drink, Caro Alexander, Jasper Crouch Jim Cook and John Dabney all former slaves with the exception of Jasper who referred to himself as a free man of color. Cato and John bought their own freedom and their families freedom through bartending.

Check out the recipe below:

ZERO PROOF - MINT JULIP

•8-10 mint leaves
•1/4oz Classic Gum Syrup
•2.5oz Kentucky 74
•Mint for Garnish

In a rock glass (or Julep cup) add mint and syrup and lightly muddle, careful not to tear the leaves. Add Kentucky 74 and crushed ice. Stir until outside of glass is cool, add more ice if need. Garnish with mint.

Day 17 of Dry January!

Spiritless is a female founded brand that we admit we haven't tried yet but have heard it's good, and the packaging is just gorgeous! They also have canned ready to drink beverages which is great for on the go, plus we've never had Jalisco!

Can't wait to try this and hopefully carry in our store.

Day 16 of Dry January and you are officially over the hump! Cheers!🥂

Last year we had the pleasure of trying one of a couple mocktails on the menu at True Food Kitchen that if I recall was made with Seedlip Garden 108. It was delicious and true to its namesake.

We can't wait to try their other two flavors and they even have a cocktail book to help you with mixing up drinks using their NA spirits. How awesome is that!

We hope to bring you this brand in our store in the future!

Day 14 Dry January! One day closer to the halfway point! Whoo hoo!

Today we just wanted to shout out a brand that we haven't had a chance to try yet but we hope to very soon.😉

Lali Non-Alcoholic Wines they were one of the first brands to comment and like our post when we had a crazy 🤪 idea for some to start an alcohol-free business. We appreciate the support from brands in this business and peers of the non-alcoholic movement.

Hopefully we will get to carry Lali in the future!🍷

Oh and PS, we know we posted this techincally on the 15th but as far as we are concerned its not a new day till we go to sleep and wake up in the next day...lol

Day 13 of Dry January and its the freakin weekend!🎉

So early on in our sober journey, we were able to convince a close friend to try incorporate some alcohol-free products into home bar cart, by getting her to examine her why for drinking alcohol and so we could have inclusive beverages at her house.😉

Anyway, as she became sober curious she found the brand Sexy AF Spirits and bought a couple bottles which we experimented with making recipes that came with the bottles and played around with our own.

It was a great experience and of course we can't wait to try the other flavors and carry them in the future.

In the meantime cheers to trying something new and a sexy AF weekend!🥂☺️

Day 12 of Dry January. You're almost halfway through the month! Just keep pushing at being Dry...one day at a time.

So we have yet to try this next brand but have heard nothing but great things about them, plus we just love the dinos in the picture.😍

All The Bitter...is an alcohol-free cocktail bitter, made with organic functional herbs. Bitters that are good for you!😲

Now for those who didn't know, most bitters are made with alcohol and even though you use only a few dashes in a drink depending on the bitters used, the type of drink and its current alcohol content, those few dashes could raise the alcohol content above 0.5abv.

So we need to grab some of this brand asap and hopefully you'll be able to find it in our store in the future.😉

Day 11 of Dry January and we wanted to share a recipe today.

Our first ever NA cocktail we mixed was a slightly different version of the Margarita recipe from Ritual Zero Proof below:

Check out the "All Day Marg"

- 2oz of Ritual Tequila Alternative
- 1oz orange juice
-1oz fresh lime juice
-1/2oz simple syrup
-lime slice or wedge

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and then pur into a cocktail glass and garnish with lime.

And drink it any time of day or all day! Delicious!😚🍹
