Hello again to all our wonderful friends and fans. We'd like to recommend you go check out a fantastic new brewery in the Polaris area, Spires Social Brewing Co.. Their grand opening is this Saturday and they've got some pretty delicious beers on offer and a beautiful patio to chill on. And if you check out their guest mead and cider selection, you might see a familiar name. 😉

For your listening pleasure, we are honored to have our friend, Brian Panke from The Brian Panke Band perform some acoustic jams from 3-5pm while you’re enjoying your crafted to perfection beverage.

We are anxious to see all of your smiling faces, but given the times, we need to take precautions to protect us, our staff and you and your families. From a business standpoint, we have implemented table spacing in our taproom and our patio area. This was possible by temporarily limiting our occupancy. In addition, our staff will be wearing masks and sanitizing frequently. We have also, installed multiple hand sanitizing stations for convenient access. To help us adhere to these newfound precautionary measures, we ask that all of our guests be patient with us as we approach opening a new business during these unprecedented times. We also ask that everyone wear a mask while not seated and, to please respect the personal space of others by practicing a safe social distance of 6ft or more.

We couldn't go without saying goodbye. So one last pickup day at the Meadery. Jenn and I will be out there Saturday May 30 from 1-4pm, We will have a few cases of everything we have left. Thank you everyone for sharing this with us. It has meant the world to us.

To our friends, family, and mead lovers: After a lot deliberation we have decided to cease operations at Uprising Meadworks. We've had some setbacks along the journey, but none could possibly compare to what Covid-19 has wrought. We are living in a different world than we were two months ago. We support the efforts our state and others has taken to save lives and protect our healthcare system and workers. But these measures do have a cost, and that cost is turning out to be small businesses, and so many of our friends in the industry who have lost their jobs, whose businesses are at risk themselves.

We got the idea to start a business while drinking a particularly excellent (and high ABV) mead. And as Nate tells it, the next morning Jenn had registered us as an LLC. It wasn't quite that simple, but Uprising was born from a dream we shared, to build something, to become a part of this community that we love so much. We have strived to make mead that we were proud of, and I feel we have done that, I hope you do too.

We envisioned a place where people could come and be among friends; a relaxed, casual place to share a drink and a laugh (and a pop culture reference). For awhile, we had just that.

We have the absolutely best customers in the world. Those of you who frequent our place have enriched our lives, broadened our worlds, become our friends. We are beyond grateful for your love and support.

We will continue to do home delivery of our remaining, limited stock as long as we are able, but there will be no new mead being made, and our taproom is permanently closed. Please see our website for special offers on cases, or contact us for keg options.

Closing down hurts beyond measure, we invested way more than money in Uprising. We put our blood, sweat and tears into it, sometimes in a very literal way. We will treasure always the friends and connections we have made. Thank you all for your support, your encouragement, and your belief in us.

After a few months in the tanks, presenting our yearly installment of Electric Mayhem! Strawberry and peppercorn make a amazing combo. Last year we sold out in just a few weeks so grab it while you can! It will be available for order on the website soon. Remember we are only doing delivery now on Tues Thurs and Saturday so get your orders in!

This Saturday we will be opening the taproom for pickup from 2-5pm. Come on out and get some mead people! Spring is starting to think about forming a committee to look at the policy of making a statement surrounding looking at the science behind starting to show up. You don't wanna miss that!
