The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for Customer Service and coordination with Production, Supply Chain, and Purchasing to plan and schedule workflow to support the combined requirements from safety stock, forecast and customer orders to meet customer expectations on delivery of finished goods. Additionally, this position supports the achievement of both efficiency goals and inventory goals by analyzing the effects of planning parameters to create the optimized balance between inventory, service, plant operations and total supply chain flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service
• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward internal and external customers.
• Serve customers by providing product and logistic service information and resolving product and service problems.
• Communicating with internal and external customers through various channels.
• Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints.
• Processing orders, forms, and requests.
• Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
• Communicating, planning, and coordinating with plants, warehouses, 3PLs, and etc.
• Ability to handle complexity and resolve conflict.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
• Experience and comfort using computers, and applications like Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Detail oriented
• Ability to write and communicate, professionally, effectively, and clearly.
Logistics and Planning
• Process customer and inbound orders, plan and optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to carrier and or service providers
• Coordinate and lead creation of production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s production capacity.
• Assist with planning and scheduling material operational flow, for both purchased materials and Customer supplied materials. Be able to interact with customer systems / portals for material data and the customer’s material coordinators on managing inbound flow and inventory level.
• Provides support, guidance, and coordination with production and shipping/receiving dock activities.
• Create Master Schedule / Production Orders from the sales orders, inventory strategy and balance the 10-week load.
• Prepare Packing list, bill of lading, pick ticket, certificate of analysis for each lot number of finished goods shipping, and pass on packing list to warehouse team, as needed.
• Coordinate with Carriers and/or service providers to ensure on time delivery by tracking pick up, estimating time of arrival and delivery and recovering loads when necessary
• Collaborate with Supply & Material planners to resolve issues
• Manages shipping and receiving paper flow utilizing ERP system
• Maintains a working knowledge of planning, logistics, manufacturing process, and operating systems pertaining to supply chain.
• Proactive communication to internal cross functional teams and external providers
• Perform other duties deemed reasonable, to support the achievement of Coalescence and New Horizon Baking Company business needs and objectives
• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence
• Industry experience in sales, logistics, production planning or food manufacturing is a plus.
• Two or more years of customer service, planning and logistics experience is preferred.
