Ohio Munchies Exploring the best food in Columbus & Beyond

We tried out the newly opened Deano’s Trattoria this past week. We got:

〰️ Seafood Tower: Shrimp Cocktail, Seasonal Crab, Lobster Cocktail, East Coast Oysters, West Coast Oysters
〰️ Earth & Embers: Layered Beets with Herbed Goat Cheese & Pistachios on Arugula tossed in House Ch*****ne Vinaigrette
〰️ Wild Frizzante: House Alfredo, Fresh Mozzarella dressed with Wild Mushrooms, Cauliflower, and Onions topped with a Truffle Arugula Salad
〰️ Frutti di Mare: Mussels, Shrimp, Squid & Halibut tossed with Spaghetti
〰️ Veal Parmesano: Breaded Bone In Veal Chop Finished with House Pomodoro, Freshly Torn Mozzarella & Glass Basil Leaf

Deano’s Trattoria, located in Strongsville, recently opened in April. Their menu features pasta, steaks, seafood, and cocktails. They also offer Happy Hour Tuesday–Friday from 4–6 PM in the lounge, with drink and food specials. They have live music Thursday through Saturday, and they will be offering lunch soon.

We tried out the newly opened K Vida this past week. We got:

〰️ Texas Dip- Melted cheese with grilled shrimp, chicken, steak, pico de gallo, and flour tortilla
〰️ Pork Belly Guac- Avocado mixed with onions, tomato, cilantro, salt, lime, and pork belly
〰️ Molcajete- A combination of grilled chicken, sirloin steak, and shrimp, covered with their signature sauce and shredded cheese, served in a sizzling skillet
〰️ Birria Ramen- Noodles with birria, boiled egg, onion, and cilantro, simmered in rich consommé
〰️ Choco Flan
〰️ Brownie Sundae

K Vida is a new Mexican restaurant and bar located in Italian Village. The menu features tacos, birria ramen, fajitas, enchiladas, and other Mexican and Latin American dishes, plus margaritas, mojitos, and tequila. The space has a lively, party-focused atmosphere with DJs and Latino music, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Prime Street Food recently opened in late August. We visited this past week and tried:

〰️ Tandoori Rice Platter
〰️ Pizza
〰️ Calzone
〰️ Shami Kebab Burger
〰️ Smash Burger

Located in Italian Village, Prime Street Food is a grab-and-go spot at 1041 Summit St. Their menu features globally inspired favorites like rice platters, burgers, shawarma, wraps, loaded fries, pasta, and pizza. They’re also open late, making it an easy spot for a quick bite or takeout.

Tabla Indian Restaurant is a new restaurant to the Easton area. We tried:

〰️ Chicken Lollipops- fried chicken lollipops served with Tabla’s signature sauce
〰️ Pani Poori- poori served with chickpeas, potatoes, and sauces, build your own style
〰️ Tandoori Chicken- bone in chicken marinated in tandoori masala
〰️ Butter Chicken- chicken cooked in creamy tomato sauce
〰️ Paneer Biryani- saffron flavored basmati rice cooked with marinated paneer, fresh herbs, and spices
〰️ Rasmalai Tres Leches

Tabla just recently celebrated their grand opening on August 26th. They are located off of Morse Road in the Easton Town Center area. The menu features a variety of dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, and vegetarian options.
