When God tells you to bet on yourself… do it! 🧡✨

I initially hired someone to design a banner for my business because, even though I knew I had the skills to do it myself, there was a certain level of comfort in handing it off to someone else.

Well… the person I hired ended up having their computer completely destroyed 🥲 and suddenly, I was left with no choice but to use the oil in my own home and do it myself.

And looking back, I’m grateful it happened that way.

Sometimes God will remove the option that feels more comfortable just to remind you of what He already placed inside of you.

That situation gave me an opportunity to sharpen my skills, trust my creativity, and grow. And when I finally saw the finished banner, I was SO proud of myself. 🥹

It came out beautifully—not just because of how it looked, but because of what it represented.

And the most amazing part? That banner completely changed my business. It elevated my brand in a way I didn’t even expect, and it dramatically increased my sales and brought in so much new business. People started noticing me differently, engaging more, and booking more—just from that one step of obedience and creativity.

A reminder that sometimes the person you’re waiting on is you.

God already gave you the gift.
He already gave you the creativity.
He already gave you the oil.

So when God tells you to bet on yourself… DO IT. 🧡✨

Sometimes the decisions you’re most unsure about end up being the ones that will change everything. 🥹💛

Starting Entwined Kitchen came with a lot of questions. Is this the right time? Will people actually support it? Can I really turn this little idea into something bigger?

And there were moments when it felt like there was zero movement. Moments where I questioned whether I should keep going because I couldn’t see what was happening on the other side of my obedience.

But God kept sending reminders. 🥹

People showing up. People believing in the vision. People touching and agreeing with me in faith, praying over this business, speaking life into what I was building, and encouraging me to keep going even when there was nothing tangible telling me that I should.

And then came the moments that started answering those questions for me — the first market, the first sellout, returning customers, seeing people genuinely enjoy something I created, and watching this business grow right in front of me.

Slowly, I started seeing the fruit 🍊

Looking back, I realize that the seasons that felt like nothing was happening were actually my planting seasons. I just hadn’t seen the harvest yet 🌱

Sometimes faith looks like continuing to show up when you have no evidence yet that it’s working.

There’s still so much I don’t know about where this journey will lead, but I’m learning that sometimes you just have to start, trust God with the rest, and keep showing up.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will lead, but I know Who I’m trusting with it. 🧡

What started as an idea is slowly becoming something so much more.

And we’re just getting started. 🥟🧃✨

This farmers market was definitely one for the books. 🤍

I’m so thankful that I was surrounded by family as we reached our first major milestone—selling out in just 45 minutes. We were completely shocked, overwhelmed, and incredibly blessed.

In that moment, I couldn’t help but think about my grandfather leaving Jamaica and how his journey helped set everything in motion for ours. It’s a reminder that we’re building on the sacrifices and dreams of those who came before us.

All we can do is thank God for His faithfulness and continue trusting Him with every step ahead. This is only the beginning, and we’re so excited for the journey to come.

Between prepping for over a week for my next farmers market, finding out I couldn’t sell my best-selling product because of a licensing mix-up, fighting through discouragement and disappointment, almost canceling, still having to prep punches afterward, showing up anyway, and then realizing my camera footage wasn’t even in focus…

I’d say it was definitely one of those weeks.

But in the middle of all the frustration, God reminded me of something I needed to hear:

Don’t let the enemy steal your momentum.

Because sometimes that’s all he needs…not to destroy the dream, but to convince you to stop moving.

Keep going. Keep showing up. Keep trusting.

God isn’t just waiting for you at the finish line…He’s walking with you through every setback, every disappointment, and every step of the journey.

Momentum isn’t built on perfect weeks. It’s built on choosing obedience even when nothing seems to be going your way. 🤍
