We’re recruiting for an AmeriCorps Volunteer service position starting early September. This 300-hour opportunity averages about 25 hours/week and includes a living stipend, dedicated training & supplies budget, & a weekly bag of fresh produce. 🥬

You'll spend your time getting your hands dirty on the farm, working with volunteer groups and community projects, learning about urban farming and sustainability, caring for native plants and pollinator gardens, and helping create welcoming spaces where everyone can connect with the land, food, and each other. 🌱

Franklinton Farms is powered by people. 💚

Together we relaunched our Weekly Harvest Pack, our pay-what-you-can produce share, planted out trays of flowers throughout all of our scattered sights, tackled plenty of w**ding, and welcomed an amazing crew from Ava Johnson Southeast Urban Farm! We even had time to have a potluck style gathering for the team on Friday!

The work we do is only possible because of the people behind it. That's why our Growing Together campaign is all about investing in the staff, AmeriCorps members, and volunteers who keep the farm running.

Weekends are never quiet at Franklinton Farms! We logged another Beauty & the Bees volunteer workday in the books, where we cleaned up pollinator patches and focused on creating beauty & adding biodiversity to the neighborhood. We got to digging trenches, and laying down mountains of cardboard for sheet mulching! And even had time for an empowering Pilates class in the Learning Garden, this weekend was full of people showing up and getting things done!

Our AmeriCorps members, staff, and volunteers bring so much energy, care, and life to the farm. Every w**d pulled, trench dug, and sheet of cardboard laid is an investment in a more vibrant space for our neighbors, pollinators, and community.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their weekend with us! 💚

Summer Wellness Series Finale! 🌿

We've had so much fun this summer bringing free yoga, Pilates, and movement classes to the Learning Garden every Sunday morning! It has been incredible to welcome such a talented group of instructors from across Columbus, all sharing their time and expertise to help our community move, connect, and enjoy time in the sun together 🌞

Join us for our final class of the season this Sunday at 9:00 AM at the PK Learning Garden (154 Hawkes Ave)! We're excited to welcome Lexi from Internal Pilates , whose nearly decade of teaching experience, combined with her background in physical therapy, creates a smart, joyful class that's perfect for all levels.

We'll have mats available to borrow, just bring yourself! We'd love to celebrate the end of an amazing series with you!

Enjoy 8 weeks of fresh, seasonal produce grown right here at Franklinton Farms. Each week you'll receive a farmer's choice selection of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and greens that celebrate the highlights in the field!

Our Harvest Packs are offered on a self-identified sliding scale, so you choose the price that best fits your household. Community support help make this possible.

🥒 Pickling Party! 🥒

Join us this Sunday 7/12 from 10:00–11:30 AM for a hands-on morning of preserving the harvest!

📍 Meet at the U-Pick (867 W Town) to harvest your pickling veg of choice. Parking is available on site, and then we'll take a short walk to the Learning Garden to learn how to make quick (refrigerator) pickles or start a lacto- fermentation based pickle!

Bring a jar if you have one! We'll provide everything else, including fresh vegetables, vinegar, salt, spices, and all the supplies you'll need.

Come ready to make something delicious and enjoy a Sunday together!

Wow... it's July already!

During the busiest time of year for us, the days always seems to fly by! Before another month slips away, we wanted to pause and savor a few of the moments that have made this season so special. There is so much beauty around to be noticed!

We're looking forward to sharing the rest of the summer with you. Here are some ways to join us over the next few weeks:

🌿 Tea Time - Every Thursday, 4–5 PM at the PK Learning Garden

🥕 Supported U-Pick Experiences - Sundays, 9–11 AM with a farmer in the Community U-Pick

🥒 Pickle Party - July 12, 11 AM–12:30 PM. Learn to ferment and quick pickle! Bring a jar if you have one! Vegetables and all other supplies are provided!
