Some businesses are built on recipes. Others are built on relationships.

Onigiri Musume was built on both.🎉

This Women's Small Business Month, we're celebrating a business founded by a mother and her two daughters who turned family traditions, hard work, and a shared love of food into something they can share with the community.

Their advice to other entrepreneurs?
✨ "Just go for it. Stick to whatever makes you unique!"

We love that Onigiri Musume has done exactly that, introducing Central Ohio to authentic Japanese onigiri while building a business together as a family.

Here's to the women entrepreneurs preserving traditions, creating opportunities, and proving that some of the best businesses start around the family table. 🍙🩵 🔗 onigirimusume.com

When life threw Kayla Williamson a curveball, she didn't give up. She started Beans & Things Coffee. ☕️

Now, her mobile coffee trailer is serving handcrafted lattes, cold brews, chai, pastries, and community all over Central Ohio.

What started as a setback turned into a business focused on bringing people together, one cup at a time.

💬 "Perseverance is everything. After being laid off, I chose to build my own opportunity instead of giving up. Stay tenacious, keep showing up, and don't let setbacks stop you from pursuing your goals."

This Women's Small Business Month, we're celebrating entrepreneurs like Kayla who turned challenges into opportunities and built businesses that make their communities stronger.

Give Beans & Things Coffee a follow and show some love to this incredible woman-owned business. 🤎

✨ "Work on the business instead of in the business." ✨

That advice has stayed with Food Fort member Amanda Shepard throughout her journey building Shepard Baking Co.

This Women's Small Business Month, we're celebrating Amanda and the many women entrepreneurs helping shape Central Ohio's food community. From cardamom buns and fresh bread to cookies, jams, and granola, Amanda has built a business rooted in quality, community, and care.

🩵 One lesson she's learned along the way? Growth requires believing in yourself enough to take the next step.

Join us in celebrating women-owned businesses this month and beyond.👏

Four years ago, Alice Rauli moved from Italy to Ohio. Today, she's sharing authentic Northern Italian recipes and building a business rooted in tradition, passion, and persistence.

Alice admits she didn't always believe becoming a business owner was possible:
💭"I always thought I couldn't make it. I grew up thinking that being a business owner was out of my potential."

Her advice now?
💭 "If you try hard enough, you can do it and you can succeed. Believe in your own potential."

This Women's Small Business Month, we're celebrating entrepreneurs like Alice who took a chance on themselves and turned their passion into a business.

Three moms. One idea. A snack that's now in 75+ stores. 🩵

This , we're celebrating Devorah, Miriam, and Dina, the founders of Crunchy RA-RA.

As a nutritionist, preschool director, and pediatric occupational therapist, they saw a challenge many parents know well: finding snacks kids actually want to eat and parents feel good about serving.

So they decided to create something better.

Their advice for other entrepreneurs? ➡️ Don't wait until everything is perfect to get started.

Sometimes the best way to grow is to start, learn, adapt, and keep going.

Today, Crunchy Ra-Ra can be found in 75+ stores across Ohio and beyond, proving that great ideas often start with simply taking the first step.

👏 We're proud to celebrate women entrepreneurs like Devorah, Miriam, and Dina who see a problem, create a solution, and build something meaningful for their communities.

"Just start." ✨
That's the advice from Food Fort member Rashmi Vanjani, founder of ZO Hummus.

"There are too many reasons not to. As long as you decide to just start, things will start to align to help you."

What started as an idea has grown into a business offering zero-oil hummus, sustainable packaging, and more than 15 flavors at farmers markets across Central Ohio.

We're proud to be part of Rashmi's entrepreneurial journey and excited to watch Zo Hummus continue to grow.

Have you tried Zo Hummus yet?💚

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by supporting Food Fort member C34 Street Bites! 🌮✨

Chef Alejandro (Alex) Perez Flores brings Mexican American fusion cuisine to Central Ohio, inspired by family recipes, culinary training, and a lifelong passion for food.

Born and raised in Mexico City, Alex learned to cook under the watchful eye of his grandparents, Maria and Jose. In fact, the name C34 Street Bites comes from the address where they lived, honoring the place where his love of cooking first began.

After studying at CESSA Culinary College in Mexico City and gaining culinary experience abroad, Alex eventually made Columbus home, where he now shares dishes that blend his heritage, creativity, and commitment to quality ingredients.

From smoky Chicken Tinga and handcrafted tacos to chef-inspired brisket specialties, every item tells part of Alex's story.

This and beyond, support local entrepreneurs and discover the incredible flavors they're bringing to our community.
