Kevin & Sarah, the founders of Casper Flats Premium Meats have teamed up with a vision to bring incredible pork to the world. Pork doesn't have to be bland, and they know exactly what can make pork delicious. They both grew up on small pig farms in opposite corners of Ohio and then met when they went to college at OSU. There they both studied meat and animal science and had mentors focused on improving pork quality, rather than injecting it with salt-water. They've learned first-hand all the most critical elements of making the perfect pork chop. They're ready to show the world that pork can be excellent! But there's still one question, where did our name come from? Well, Casper is Kevin's great-great-grandfather, who originally started the farm in Pemberville in the 1800's. And Flats, well, if you've ever been to Northwest Ohio, that's obvious. For those who aren't familiar with Northwest Ohio, it's flat as a pancake and you can see corn and soybean fields for miles! We are excited to be selling some of the highest quality premium pork available! Pork that is inherently delicious! At Casper Flats we believe it's what's on the inside that matters. The Mangalitsa and other heritage breeds we utilize don't look like your average pig on the outside. In fact, the meat is far from average too. It far exceeds regular pork in marbling and color, two of the most important qualities to guarantee you a juicier and more flavorful product. All our pigs are Mangalitsa crosses, which helps us combine genetics for the best possible finished product. On occasion, purebred mangalitsa pork is also available.

We offer pork packages in various quantities. We have "the whole hog", "the half hog", "the big box", and "the sampler pack". The meat is vacuum packaged to maintain freshness and is processed at ODA and USDA inspected facilities.
