💕 Happy Boss’s Day to Our Favorite Boss Lady, Kaitlon! 💕

Behind every great small business is someone with a dream, a whole lot of determination, and just a little bit of crazy! 🤣 And our boss has ALL THREE!

From creating delicious recipes to juggling orders, managing the business, and keeping us all on our toes, Kaitlon wears more hats than we can count!

She has poured her heart into Against the Grain & The Naked Kitchen & Bakery, and we get a front-row seat to watching her dreams grow into something pretty amazing. ❤️

We may give her a hard time (especially the employee who also happens to be her MOM & DAD🤣), but we couldn’t be prouder of the boss, businesswoman, and leader she continues to become.

THANKSGIVING MEAL ORDERS OFFICIALLY OPEN TOMORROW, OCTOBER 15TH! 🎉

Let’s be honest… Thanksgiving is supposed to be about spending time with the people you love, not fighting the grocery store crowds, trying to coordinate 15 different dishes, and spending your entire day in the kitchen. 👀

That’s where we come in! Let The Naked Kitchen & Bakery take a little of that holiday stress off your plate (literally 😉) so you can focus on what matters most!

Here’s what we’re cooking up for your Thanksgiving table:

🦃 Herb-roasted turkey, carved and de-boned for easy serving

🇸🇻 A Little Taste of Home… All the Way from El Salvador! ❤️🌎📍

One of my favorite things about our little store is hearing the stories behind the people who walk through our doors!

Today, we welcomed back this sweet family who was in Columbus visiting friends out at The Big Easy.

They remembered stopping by our store on a previous visit and trying our Menudo. Mom shared that she loved it so much because it reminded her of her home country, El Salvador! 🇸🇻❤️

Now THAT is a compliment that means something to us! 🥰

In fact, they enjoyed it so much that they made sure to stop back in and pick up a couple of containers to take with them! And apparently, our Naked Green Dip made quite an impression, too, because they couldn’t leave without some of that and a few other goodies!

As we visited, we learned that Mom is originally from El Salvador and that the family has been living in the United States for about 12 years. Both children were born here, but their family’s roots remain an important part of their story.

Of course, we couldn’t let them leave without adding El Salvador to our world map! 📍🌎

They visit the Columbus area often to see friends, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming them back for more Menudo and Naked Green Dip!

❤️ Sometimes food is more than just a meal. It’s a memory, a connection to home, and a little reminder of where we come from.

🇩🇪 From Germany to Columbus, Texas! 🇩🇪📍❤️

Our little store welcomed another international family today, all the way from Germany! 🌍

This sweet family is visiting the United States and was making their way from Houston to Austin today. Dad shared that he had visited the U.S. once before, but this time he brought the whole family along for the adventure!

And guess how they found us? ChatGPT! 🤖❤️

They asked ChatGPT for places worth stopping along their route, and wouldn’t you know it… our little town of Columbus made the list! They decided to stop in, explore our store, and enjoy lunch with us!

What made this visit even more special was getting to share a little of our own German heritage. Kent is 100% German, with both sides of his family settling right here in Colorado County generations ago! We enjoyed talking about the German roots that run so deep in our community. 🇩🇪❤️

Even with a little language barrier, we managed to share some stories, smiles, and laughter. Just another reminder that good food and genuine hospitality speak every language! 🥰
