Every now and then I get asked why our goats are priced the way they are, so I thought I’d explain.

At Four Asher Farms, we don’t price goats based on what we hope someone will pay—we price them based on the quality, time, and care that go into producing them.

Our herd is registered, health tested, and carefully managed year-round. We invest in quality genetics, proper nutrition, veterinary care, testing, housing, and all the little things that keep goats healthy and thriving. We also actively show our goats and have been blessed with multiple wins in the ring, which reflects the quality we’re working hard to produce.

Could I sell cheaper goats? Sure. But I’d have to cut corners somewhere, and that’s simply not something I’m willing to do. We operate at a loss most years. Our goats care comes first.

If you’re looking for the cheapest goat possible, a sale barn or pet breeder may be a better fit—and that’s okay! Everyone has different goals and budgets. But if you’re looking for healthy, registered stock from a herd with proven genetics, health testing, and a strong show record, that’s what we strive to provide.

Raising quality livestock isn’t a hobby that pays for itself—it’s a labor of love that also happens to involve a lot of feed bills (treats!!) and very opinionated goats. 😂

Thank you to everyone who supports our farm and understands the value behind the animals we raise. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Our very first mini was born today! Avalon (50% Alpine, 31%Sable 19% Lamancha) had a beautiful doeling with our Nigerian Dwarf buck Jax. This big doeling has ice blue eyes, and may be polled too (I’m terrible at knowing this early).

We have a limited selection of exceptionally bred doelings available for the remainder of the season. Doeling #3Juliet/...

Doeling #3

Juliet/Freyr doeling. Look at the flash on this girl and blue eyes to boot! Juliet is Basils dam (see her doeling!) and has a beautiful capacity and attachments. She has been shown and is never below 3rd in her class, she has won several BIC too. I expect this doeling to improve on her dam too! Doeling is disbudded, CD&T, coccidia prevention, she drinks from a lambar but will happily take a bottle. This girl would be amazing for a youth showman!

Doeling #1

Giver/Freyr, born March 21, 2025, is a chocolate-colored doe with striking blue eyes, disbudded, and up-to-date on CDT and coccidia prevention. She is trained on lambar feeding and readily accepts bottle feeding.

For breeders seeking to incorporate Dills lines into their herd, this doe presents an excellent opportunity.
