Also anyone applying for event server positions will start off as independent contractors and if I see consistency and reliability in you then we will officially hire you on permanently. Our base rate pay is $18 an hour but each event is paid with a flat fee due to each event shift in hours are different. Also event staff can also be placed for events like our pop up, take out and all other events that we have throughout the year please bear that in mind when applying

PSA to all possible and current employees of Lex’s Kitchen .
No matter if we're catering or have a food truck or trailer or a restaurant my staff will get paid minimum $18 an hour I've never believed in wait staff being paid lower wages expecting people to tip absolutely not! The lowest that I pay for a position is $15 an hour which is usually our utility or dishwasher position anything after that starts at $18 an hour and goes up based on position if we end up having a restaurant my waiters will get paid $18 an hour minimum I don't play that over here when I say we going to all eat I mean it 💯

We've gotten a lot of DM's, emails and messages asking if we're still doing small group catering , popups, selling takeout, by the pan deals etc and the answer is yes! I will be updating all menus and posting them this week and next week and pinning them to the top of our page for you to be able to place your orders we are still serving seeing private dinners of any size small or big we're not just doing weddings we're not just doing Full Service Catering we are still staying true to who we are no matter the size no matter the type of event Lex’s Kitchen has got you covered!

By popular demand we will be adding some items to our menu that haven't been available for a while but we are bringing back on our standard menu which will be posted next week that any and all people for any and all events can order from as well as the links to our wedding and special event menu.
Some of those items include oxtails, gumbo, seafood boils, smothered turkey legs, pineapple bowls, new egg roll flavors 🤫, and more! - Chef Lex

Okay so I want to address something that I've been seeing my fellow caterers and event businesses going through.. if you're having a gathering of 100 or more people and you want servers, staff, equipment, decor with all the bells and whistles please be prepared to have a decent realistic budget. If you are outside of local radius for certain businesses you're going to pay a significant travel fee due to just the gas prices alone. Food costs alone are high enough for your budget to be in the thousands for 100 people or more. If you are not willing to pay thousands of dollars then you need to adjust your guest counts. For all Full Service events whether wedding or otherwise my minimum is $23 per person not including tax at a 50-person minimum so please be aware of that before asking to cater your event. I know people whose minimums is a $1,000 at 50 people I pride myself from being affordable but I still going to have to pay my staff and myself otherwise there's no point of a business cuz then I have nothing to give y'all so please really do the math. I always say take yourself to a decent restaurant and see how much it cost per person and times that by your guest count that's as realistic as you can get. Stop wasting caterer and events businesses time if you're not willing to pay for what you want or edit what you want.
