Cinco has been working hard documenting the progress of our community garden and all this rain has everything growing like crazy! The plants are soaking up that natural rainwater, the soil is thriving, and new growth is popping up everywhere. There’s something so beautiful about watching nature do what it was designed to do. 🌻🍅🌿

From tiny seeds to a growing garden full of life — this journey has been teaching patience, responsibility, and the power of nurturing something with love. We can’t wait to see how much more the garden transforms this season!

We picked our VERY FIRST jalapeño from the Schoolhouse Community Garden today and babyyyy… she came with ATTITUDE 🌶️😂 SPICY for real!!

And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, our wildflower bed is finally starting to bloom too 🌸🐝 Seeing all the colors, growth, and life popping up around the garden makes us so proud.

From tiny seeds to harvests and flowers… this garden is teaching us patience, teamwork, and the beauty of growing something with love. 💚

Community Garden Update 🌱✨

The garden is SHOWING OUT right now 😍🌻

Flowers are blooming, the kids are harvesting radishes with pride, the blackberries are slowly changing colors 👀, tomatoes finally decided to show up to the party 🍅 and these jalapeños are looking SPICY 🌶️🔥

Beans are gripping bamboo like they pay rent 🎋, sunflowers are standing at attention 🌻, cucumbers are acting shady lol 🥒 and garlic is teaching us all how to be patient 🧄✨

So many lessons are being learned in this little garden beyond just growing food 🌱♥️

Patience.
Teamwork.
Responsibility.
Nature.
Community.

Everything you see started with tiny seeds, patience, and a whole lot of love 💚 Watching the kids learn, grow, harvest, and connect with nature in real time will never get old.

Thank you to Stephanie Maher and Wild About Homeschooling Crew for starting these beautiful peas and zucchini from seed to be transplanted into the community garden this week 🤗🌱

Can’t wait to see these peas on our cool trellis built from bamboo 👀🎋

The goal for the zucchini is to grow them vertically to maximize the space in the raised bed 🤞🏾

After our planter was stolen, Cinco took it upon himself to make a sign on a paper towel that said, “Don’t steal from the garden.” 🥹

That moment meant more than words… because this garden isn’t just ours—it belongs to the community. It’s a place to learn, grow, and share. 🌿

So to the kind soul who took the time to create a new sign and place it in the garden that says “Don’t steal from the garden”… thank you. Truly. 💚

Your small act reminded us that there’s still love, respect, and people who care deeply about what we’re building here.

We’re growing more than food… we’re growing community. 🌱✨
