Root crops are so satisfying to harvest 🌱 A few things I’ve learned before planting them:
🥕 Loose soil matters more than people think, especially for carrots, beets, and radishes.
🥔 Potatoes do better when they have room to spread and get hilled as they grow.
🧄 Garlic and onions are low-fuss crops, but they hate soggy soil.
🌿 Ginger and turmeric need warmth, so I like treating them more like warm-season plants.
💧 Consistent watering helps roots grow smoother instead of splitting or getting tough.
Underground crops take patience, but pulling them up at harvest time never gets old.
