When you can only find two of the three calves when you enter the pasture.

Momma was bellering, looking for her calf. To be honest she didn’t put a lot of effort into finding her.

Found baby in the back of the pasture, pretty sure momma forgot where she left her. All is well now, but scared me for a minute ❤️

Dog dog is such a good boy and does such a great job keeping everyone safe, especially at night!

Baby Surprise on Lasche Acres tonight! 🎉

I heard a momma bellering like they do when they want their new babies to get up. I thought “there’s no way, we don’t have any pregnant cows right now”…. Then look over and sure enough! A momma is yelling at a brown blob across the pasture!

Ran out there to find the cutest Heifer! 💗

To be fair we purchased a small herd a while back of cows and cow/calf pairs… the family only disclosed that a few were pregnant. So far we’ve had two healthy “surprise” heifers 💗

Last night I was in a rush to get chores done and make it to t-ball with our son.

I had a friend helping put hay out, so I put dog-dog in the coop to make it easier to open gates, but it was never my intention to leave him in there!

Fast forward to this morning when I found him still in the coop! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Based on that big stretch he must’ve got himself a good nights rest 🤣💤😴

In my defense, the lever was right there. The cows were thrilled with my performance. My husband? Not so much.🤦‍♀️🐄🤣

To be fair I got one of them back, so I really only let one out. Girl math.

Thankful for such a patient vet!

Ranger was having a hard time getting his horns through the shoot… until he wasn’t!

As soon as he got them through he just kept going! Way too fast for me to close it!

Still got done what we needed to, just looked a little different 🐮
