We have fresh "Permaculturally-Grown" Duck Eggs from our farm up near Northport. They come from our small flock of heritage Ancona ducks. We feed them locally-grown sprouted barley and Red Bridge Farm's "All Flock" locally sourced poultry feed processed in Kettle Falls. Needed: Used Surplus Hay Tarp

Now and then, hay farmers retire their large hay tarps that have outlived their usefulness. Sometimes they are offered for free, other times for nominal cost.

Onion Planting Party at the BZ Farm (45min north of Colville)
Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026 - 9:00am to Sunday, March 29, 2026 - 3:00pm

Hey Folks!! By March 28th our onion seedlings that we sowed on January 12 should be nicely sized up and ready to transplant. If we can get this done on Saturday and Sunday March 28 & 29, we will be able to ride the energy wave of the upcoming full moon on April 1st to help the seedlings get a good start planted out in the beds.

This year we will be planting onion seedlings as opposed to our regular method of planting our home-grown onion sets due to a crop failure last year growing the sets. We'll be planting roughly 3000 onion seedlings, enough for four 4 ft. x 100 ft. beds. It's a bit tedious-- like planting rice but at least you don't have to wade around in knee-deep water.

There will be recorded dance music to keep everyone motivated (and live music if any musicians out there feel like donating some of your talent). We'll cook up some good food and folks can feel free to bring a potluck dish. Good food, good music, good work and good comradery. Camp out overnight if you want.

Yeah, we know, it's NO KINGS DAY and we should all be out PROTESTING but farming sometimes has its own schedule to keep to, so consider making your act of resistence planting some food for your community-- 'cause growing food regeneratively on a non-profit farm is a revolutionary act in its own right!

Folks who volunteer will earn credit towards produce we will be growing during the 2026 season. Contact us if you're interested. We'll send you driving directions.

Legal Advice Needed! Are you, or do you know, a lawyer who could help us?

We have reached out to dozens of regional lawyers to have a series of minor legal questions answered regarding transitioning our privately held 20-acre farm near Northport, WA into a land trust. Mostly the questions relate to the personal legal ramifications pertinent to the landowner. We are very low income seniors and we cannot afford a lawyer at market rates, but we do have some supporters who have donated limited funds to the land trust to assist us with legal costs. At this point, we have up to $600 that we could pay a lawyer to answer a small number of specific legal questions. We have offered lawyers as much as $1000 to help us. None have stepped forward. Now we need to hold some of the funds back in order to pay the costs of filing our easement to establish the trust (we did receive pro bono legal assistance drafting the easement).

There are legal services for seniors, but they don't take on the type of work we need done. They mostly deal with seniors who are facing emergency situations. Our situation is elective.

PLEASE! One of us is facing major surgery in the coming months and we need these questions answered before he goes under the knife.
