March 22, 2018 marked the end of an era at the Ferrill Ranch. Jack Weldon Ferrill, the third generation to own and ranch the Ferrill Ranch and the one who has owned it longer than anyone other than the Comanche Indians, passed away peacefully. On March 26, 2018 we celebrated his life with a 10 AM service at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home in Fort Worth followed by a family meal at the Sidney Church of Christ, Sidney, Texas of which Jack's great-grandfather was a founding elder. We then laid him to rest in the Ferrill Cemetery, Comanche County, Texas about 200 yards from the place where he was born. The place of Jack's birth is a Texas Century Ranch owned and operated by Jack's cousins, Bill Ferrill and Sandi Ferrill Rezinas.
