Beautiful New Hampshire Layers looking for New Pasture 🐓🥚

As part of reducing our farm workload while Ben continues treatment and recovery, we are significantly downsizing our laying flock.

We have 1 year old New Hampshire hens available. These girls are proven layers, pasture raised, and fed no corn, no soy, no flax, no GMO feed. They have done incredibly well through Hill Country heat, cold, and everything in between.

We also have a few Ameraucanas that lay blue eggs and 2 New Hampshire roosters available.

Roosters can go free with the purchase of 5 or more hens.

Pickup will be Sunday and Monday morning in Comfort. Please bring your own carrier or crate.

We would love to see these birds head to healthy new pasture. Message me for details ❤️🐓

finally pulled my starter out of the back of the fridge and made a loaf. it’s been in there for months!

now it’s got me thinking, would anyone want one? maybe we should add sourdough to our menu… 🤔

Didn’t expect to have to rescue our chickens from another 100 year flood only one year later.

Our house is on high ground, but where we have the birds is closer to the river.

Amazingly, the ones still in the tractor survived perched up on their roosting bars. And waded in chest deep ant infested water to get many of them out.

We will be praying for all those who have lost much more than we have, and for the Hill Country to heal.

More rain in the forecast. Stay safe everyone.

A sad update 😢

Ben was in a car accident last week and is okay, but has a rough recovery ahead.

That said, we won’t be at the market this weekend.

However, our chickens are still laying eggs. If you’d like to purchase some, please message us and we can coordinate getting them to you.

Thank you all for your support, R&L 💙

A little Roam & Loam update 💚

We are officially sold out of chicken meat for the season. Going forward, we’ll be moving chicken to special bulk pre-orders only, instead of bringing it to market week after week.

Right now, we’re putting our focus into the things that feel most sustainable for our family and our farm — starting with our eggs.

We truly believe high-quality pasture-raised eggs are one of the best values you can buy for your food budget. Ours are pasture-raised here in Comfort, with no corn, no soy, and non-GMO feed — and we think they’re the best eggs in the Hill Country.

Thank you for supporting our little farm as we grow, learn, and simplify. We’re excited for this next season of Roam & Loam.

This week at market: pasture-raised eggs, plus a free garden greens sampler when you buy 2 dozen eggs, while supplies last.

In case you missed it… 🌿

The market was full of treasures: fresh-cut lavender, unusual herb plants, sesame buns, farm-fresh eggs from healthy local hens, beautiful pottery, delicious yogurt, cookies tempting enough to make you question your priorities, and chicken that just might change your life.

Thank you for supporting our local growers, makers, bakers, and farmers. We can’t wait to do it all again!

Join us for the next market on June 19th and discover what surprises await. ✨💚
