We haven’t posted in a while, but we’re still here and the cows are still doing well. Today was a beautiful spring day on the ranch so we figured we’d share a cute baby picture and say hi! 🖤

Rib roast anyone?! 🤩 This is a special request and already claimed- we don’t typically keep these in stock. If you’d like one though, we can order one for you in the future.

Options for rib roasts include bone in or boneless and anywhere from 3-7 bones per roast. Pictured is a 3 bone, boneless rib roast.

They run $18/lb.

Can’t wait to hear how this one turns out. It looks delicious!

Unload a whole beef with me and watch as my camera slowly falls over. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

This wasn’t my prettiest organization/pack job, but it worked. The goal for today was to make sure I kept the two halves separated and make everything fit in this one freezer. Mission accomplished. ✅ The whole shown here will be delivered to two separate families this weekend. One of which is a returning customer from last year. ☺️ We’re so thankful that this month we have the privilege of stocking 5 families freezers.

Fun fact about ordering a whole, half or quarter steer is that it’s completely customized by YOU. You can decide which cuts you want and which cuts you’d rather turn into ground beef. You also get to choose how many cuts per package. For example, large families typically opt for 2 # ground beef packages over a 1 # package because that fits their family best.

If you’re interested in stocking your freezer, it’s best to reach out early as we don’t have many of these spots available. We offer whole, half and quarter beef as well as custom bundles. This month we put together a ground and roast bundle for a customer that includes 30 # ground and 6 Chuck roasts. So if a half or a whole isn’t what you’re looking for, there are other options.

Message us with any questions about bulk beef and we’re happy to discuss what would be best for your family. 😊

⚠️LONG POST ALERT⚠️

As many do, the beginning of a new year is for reflecting on the previous year and planning for the new year. For us, we’ve been going over trends, what worked, what didn’t, and discussing changes to be made moving forward. We started this beef gig to provide quality beef for our family and to know exactly what we were putting into our bodies. Word got around to friends and family that we were producing our own angus beef and one thing led to another and here were are with a whole lot more followers than we ever imagined and so many new friends who we met through this gig. We have ZERO regrets and are so thankful for all that this page and this business has brought us.

However, 2023 was a strange year in the cattle industry. Inflation has been on the rise and with that we have seen prices for everything continue to go up. Feed costs have gone up, processing fees have gone up and its been something we’ve tried to not let affect our prices, but this IS a business after all and there are bills to be paid. Keeping costs comparable to grocery store prices has always been our goal. Price gouging isn’t our thing and we want to share quality beef with as many people as possible. The question that we have been discussing for months is- Is this worth it financially? We’ve witnessed fellow family ranches stop producing and selling beef and WE GET IT. It’s what makes sense financially right now. Recently, it’s made more sense to take a young steer to the sale barn and pick up a pay check that, in some cases, is larger than what we would profit from feeding out a steer and then paying for processing fees on that animal. Not to mention the time investment and gas money that we put into selling a full animal (or two) each month. Why would we go through all of this extra work when we can simply sell an animal without the added cost of feed or processing and make more money? Well, we enjoy knowing that we get to feed your families quality beef. We enjoy the relationships and friendships that have grown from meeting up with you guys each month or a few times a year. It fills our cup. So, moving forward into 2024, we’ve made the difficult decision to adjust prices to help offset the rising costs. We hope you know that this is a decision that we quite literally HAD to make in order to continue doing this. We THANK YOU for trusting us to feed your families and giving us your business.

We hope to continue to feed all of your families and more in 2024!

**If you have placed a pre-order for January, you will receive the previous pricing from 2023. Orders placed starting today (1/22/2024) will reflect the new 2024 pricing.

Below is our updated price sheet. Thank you for understanding.

2023 was a good one. We don’t always get to say that in this biz, so we’ll enjoy it while we can. Looking back, we tried to pick a favorite photo from this year and it was not easy. This year started with an ice storm, then a nice spring which brought lots of rain, bountiful fields of grass and eventually lots of hay. 🙌🏼 That in itself led to a great year in a farmers eyes. We also welcomed our second set of twin calves by our favorite mama, Breezy. Lots of improvements happened around the ranch that we’ve been planning for quite a while. 2023 felt productive. We are grateful for what this year brought us.

We met new beef customers and enjoyed keeping up with old customers. Feeding your families is a wonderful privilege and we THANK YOU for trusting us to provide you with quality angus beef. We look forward to continuing to feed your families and sharing cute calf pictures in 2024!

Happy New Year, friends! 🥂
