Scott Holifield’s honey varieties at Hawthorne Honey are always lovely, but there’s a new(ish) one in the lineup that’s exceptional.

Radish blossom honey is floral, but in a more complex way than you’d expect; more vegetal and delicate, with a gorgeous red hue. The profile is meant for fall and winter squash season — I drizzled it on a roasted Delicata squash with quinoa, arugula and scallion, and I’ll be repeating that in the future with roasted honey nuts, acorn squash, and definitely turnip, carrot and parsnip dishes.

Thank you to my Sistie Kyle aka for this cameo. Sistie is the name we gave to each other very quickly after meeting. There are those people that come into your life and you just know.

Our love for Madonna, Double Dutch, and just being silly. My definition of Sistie is someone you feel close to and you aren’t related but you have a connection that you just can’t explain.

That’s where Dylan comes in. Our love for jump rope and double Dutch even though I can’t do either. Yet. Just a huge admiration for it.

One of my favorite weekends to visit the Hudson River Valley in October is for Field + Supply Fall Mkt.

last fall lunch | roasted delicata, quinoa, arugula, scallion, ginger, garlic, splash of soy, bigger splash of rice vinegar, chili flake, all drizzled in Hawthorne Honey ‘s radish blossom honey, which is lovely and floral but not in a way you’d expect. i love it, anyway. ❤️
