comunidad, the next limpias hands-on workshop is happening this saturday, oct 3rd, in wilmington, ca 🪶

this is an intensive 4hr long experience intended to connect us with the ancestral practice of limpias 🌱🔥

you’ll practice lighting a fire in a popoxcomitl (copalero), putting together a ramo de plantas for limpias, and we’ll finish with an egg limpia 🥚.

spots are limited to encourage a more intimate experience, and this is offered on a sliding scale. DM for more info and to register 🙏🏽

i’ve been working one-on-one with this elder for almost a month now and i’m full of gratitude that we crossed paths 🥺

other things to keep in mind if you want to join the learning sessions: it’s in-person only and he asks that whatever printed learning materials he shares with us be kept on paper and not shared or digitalized.

if you’re interested in being part of this, please DM your WhatsApp number so i can add you to the info group chat 🙏🏽

and yes, it’s important to have good teachers and elders we can trust along this journey 🪶👵🏽. i’ve been very lucky 🥺. i’ve received most of what i know from elders in my family in michoacán, teotihuacan, oaxaca, puebla, and other places i’ve been welcomed. i’ve also had a couple significant teachers here.

i’m grateful, so i share 🧡

still registering people for the next Ancestral Medicine Container that starts on July 1st 🔥🪶. we’ll meet online and all sessions will be recorded. DM me for details and to register 🙏🏽

there’s so many ancestral remedies to help ease certain types of trauma when it happens, to prevent the long term harms 🥺

i addressed these and more from my native region of michoacan and the surrounding areas in my susto and mal de aire online class 🪶.

you can DM me if you want to obtain the recoding along with the notes i provided for you to keep as a resource 🌱

for those of you who connect to our traditional medicine system of curanderismo, i will be offering this online class this coming saturday, may 23rd at 10am PST.

we will be going over what susto and mal de aire is, and what are some practical, accessible ways of tending to yourself and your loved ones if you’re experiencing this 🥺.

this is a sliding scale offering and you already know i like to keep my groups small to moderate, as i’m mindful of wanting to create a community feeling and allow time for questions. 💛

thank you all for your support 🫶🏽
