The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has announced updated Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) surveillance areas for the 2026–27 deer season. Four counties, including Edgecombe, Halifax, Martin and Pitt, have been added, while 11 others have been removed after years of negative test results.

CWD cases remain relatively low statewide, with 33 positives in the 2025–26 season. Testing will stay voluntary, but hunters in management and surveillance areas are encouraged to submit samples before consuming venison.

As this season comes to an end, our hearts are truly full. To every new and returning customer who chose our processing business this year, THANK YOU. We honestly can't put into words how much your support has meant to our small, family-run business. Every deer brought through our doors, every recommendation, every kind word, it all makes a bigger difference than you may ever realize.

Because of you, we were able to do what we love again this season, and we are beyond grateful for the trust you placed in us. Your business, loyalty, and support are what keep us going, and we don't take that lightly.

With deer season now wrapped up, we wish everyone a happy, safe, and well-deserved break. We'll be closed for the off-season and will be opening back up in September, and we truly can't wait to see familiar faces and meet new ones then.

We'll also be posting details very soon about the winners of our Big Doe Contest, so stay tuned!

For your convenience, we will be OPEN for DROP-OFFS ONLY on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This allows our employees to spend time with their families while still serving our customers.

Drop-Off Hours:
Christmas Eve: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 6:00
