It's a busy, but very fun, weekend coming up!

This Friday is First Friday and the theme this month is Oktoberfest! Right behind Viking House in Bicentennial Square is where the Oktoberfest celebration will be in full swing! There will be a b**r tent, will be there with themed food, music will be playing, and it will be an all-around fun vibe!

To celebrate First Friday, we will be open late until 8pm (festivities and deals go from 4-8!) Stop in at Viking House for 10% off food and head over to Nordic Notes & Notions to pick up a cozy craft for fall with 10% off all craft kits!

On Saturday Felix Doolittle will be visiting Nordic Notes & Notions for a special event from 11am-2pm! We will be showcasing all of his incredible products featuring his art! Get a bookplate with your name written in calligraphy (another one of his specialties)! It's sure to be a wonderful time!

We hope to see you this weekend!

Join us next weekend at Nordic Notes & Notions to meet the wonderful Felix Fu of Felix Doolittle (). We've loved his art and stationery for years and we're so excited when the man himself stopped into Nordic Notes & Notions last year! This incredibly talented Boston based artist has been creating magical art for years, lots of nature, cute animals, and more! 🎨

He will be joining us for a special event on Saturday, October 3rd from 11am-2pm to showcase some of his work and customize bookplates for our customers (did we mention he is an incredible calligrapher?)! 📖

It also happens to be during NH Book Festival (Friday October 2nd and Saturday October 3rd). What better way to spend the day than by getting some books and meeting an amazing artist who will customize a bookplate to make sure everyone knows who your new books belong to?! Stock up on bookmarks with his beautiful art as well so you don't lose your place when reading! 📚

Spread the word, share this post, and bring your friends!

🚨 HEADS UP: If you didn’t hear, we’ll be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept.22) for a point-of-sale system upgrade. Regular hours Wednesday! Thanks for your patience! 🖥️ 🍀

Heads up! Both Viking House and Nordic Notes & Notions will be closed on Tuesday, September 22nd. 🗓

Our current point of sale system (the system you use to buy all of your items and pay with) is getting a much-needed upgrade! 💻 Our current system is getting outdated and slowing down and we want to make sure that you don't have to deal with those consequences, so we are upgrading! Change is hard, but we're excited to make this change and it should improve things for everyone as we move forward. In order to make this change we've decided to close for the day.

Our goal is that this change will be barely perceptible to you, but we will have a bit of a learning curve for the first little bit. We will be back to our normal hours on Wednesday, September 23rd, but for the first few days may be a tiny bit slower during check out as we may need to ask questions or manually search for items in the new system. We promise to do our best to avoid any delays and just ask for a tiny bit of patience! 😇

The good news: We are making this switch now so that we will have very few delays during the holiday season! 🎄 If you visited last November through December, you may have experienced some delays as we could only have one register open at Viking House since we were sharing our system with Nordic Notes & Notions. This new system will not be dependent on each other, and we will be able to open and close a 2nd register as needed to make things go faster and keep lines short! 🛍️
