for some reason, I aways think hot cocoa must be made with a mix. Today I just melted some Trader Joe's bittersweet cocoa in a glass in the microwave, added milk, microwaved more, mixed, and voila. Hot cocoa! Delish! :)

Been MIA for MONTHS now as I've adjusted to life as a mom. I think it's time to share favorite recipes from the blog that are "new mom" friendly. Made loads of raspberry jam today using the organic raspberries we got on sale from Whole Foods Market! $18 worth of raspberries made me 15 jars of jam... not bad!

feast tonight! Bacon, avocado, tomato sandwiches; bruschetta; a nectarine/blackberry/blueberry salsa with basil and cracked pepper and truffles to top it off! So very full!

Want a BLT that's out of this world? Sub out the lettuce for avocado and instead of just using regular mayo, mix it half-and-half with pesto. Toast the buns, smear on the aioli mixture, layer up some heirloom tomatoes with the avocado and bacon, and voila. A sandwich that will make you want to weep tears of joy. :)
