Lots to talk about, the first early apples are in the farm stand, yea! White, yellow and donut peaches, sweet corn, tomatoes, cukes, it is high season for fresh local produce. A quick ride through the fields this afternoon, winter squash as far as you can see. Our new trial planting of strawberries, with guidance from UNH Extension we are trying a new system of strawberry production, stay tuned we will keep you appraised of our progress. One of many insect monitoring traps on our farm in what Chuck calls his “Hail Mary “ planting of sweet corn, barring a hard frost this corn is Early October corn, fingers crossed. We are still picking our late variety of blueberries. And drum roll please if it does not rain on Monday the 24th we will start PYO table grapes.🍇
