It looks like the perfect fall weekend. Picking is great lots and lots of varieties of apples to pick, trailer rides up into orchard Sat and Sun 10 am to 5pm. Tons of pumpkins at the farm stand. And the foliage is outstanding!

It looks like we are headed for a “wicked” good weekend, the weather forecast is for sun and fall temps, ( most importantly no rain Saturday & Sunday). On a positive note The recent rains have caused additional size on the apples. We will have a great selection to pick, in addition to the usual line up this weekend we will add, Ambrosia, and what is IMHO the prettiest apple on the farm, Golden Supreme. And of course we have a good crop of huge Honeycrisp. There are still a few seedless grapes to pick, and if you are willing to work a bit some fall raspberries. As I write this the pie crew is with heart and soul working on the first round of pies. Pumpkins, c***r, winter squash, corn stalks, and a ton of local products in the farm stand. We love it here and you should too!

We are getting a lot of questions about the predicted storm and it’s effect on our crops. While not the weekend weather prediction we would have asked for, we have to prepare as best as we can. For our customers we of course will be open in the farm stand, and PYO grapes and apples will continue
In the rain. Maybe not as enjoyable as on a nice dry day but that is why they invented water repellant outer wear. Trailer rides will
operate in dry conditions. Our Harvest crew has been picking like crazy. We have picked some apples off the heavily laden tress to reduce the load in case of high winds. Sweet corn, squash, tomatoes, peppers , all picked in anticipation of heavy rains. So be like this monarch butterfly and rain or shine come on out Apple Hill Farm

You know it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, the forecast is a bit iffy for the weekend so today and Friday would be a good time come and pick some apples. We of course will be open this weekend sorta like that old adage about the postal service. Neither rain nor snow or even nor’easters will stop us. We deliver!

Sept 19, 20 it looks like Fall weather is in the forecast. Sweet corn is still being picked and some of the sweetest all season. The stand is looking like fall with pumpkins, gourds, winter squash and more. Summer squash , zucchini, tomatoes and cucumbers are plentiful. Peaches, plums and 6 varieties of apples too! And all the sweet goodies coming out of the kitchen! PYO apples and seedless grapes everyday 8:30 to 5:00. Trailer rides into the orchard weekends weather permitting. Let’s usher in FALL, the best season of the year!

We need the rain but on a weekend is not what we would have wished for. The downside we will not be doing trailer rides today. The good news, we will be still be offering PYO apples , Mac’s , Cortland, right by the farm stand, and a walk up the hill for Honeycrisp, and Gala. There are PYO grapes and still a few blueberries. The farm stand is full and open every day 8:30 to 5:30

It is go time. PYO apples for this weekend,
Mac’s, Gala, Honeycrisp, Cortland, and a few other surprises. Special this weekend, help us finish peach harvest 2026, there are a couple of rows of late peaches for PYO. Trailer rides to the hilltop 10 - 5 weekends weather permitting. And of course the farm stand is bursting at the seams.

One of many insect monitoring traps on our farm in what Chuck calls his “Hail Mary “ planting of sweet corn, barring a hard frost this corn is Early October corn, fingers crossed.
