Both kids are running a fever but how coincidental that we spoke with April Clark about helping on the farm again just last week! Go say hi to her at the Matthews Community Farmers Market today, 8-12!

We are so grateful for April. We call her ‘Aunt April,’ actually. She has been there for the farm throughout the pandemic, helped guide the kids (and mama) as they grow up, and pitches in almost every event with something really essential— like a pizza oven?? Bubbles for kids, or you name it. She’s a one man bad, mom of 5, homeschool queen, support system for her community, and overall baddy. We love you April! Thanks for all you are and do! And a market in the rain at that!

Week 4 of the CSA and it’s the week of the black radish. See those big ol beauties?? They are a food you don’t wanna miss. They help pretty much everything you need to help with. Fatigue, stress, inflammation, digestion, the list goes on!

Not apart of our CSA and want dibs on our veggies? Did you know we deliver to about 6 locations around Charlotte? You can easily order online every Monday or Tuesday through our online store and we deliver at a location of choice on Wednesday. We want to amp up our online orders for the rest of the season so we are offering a discount for your first order! Comment ‘CSA’ below and we will send you details!

Sam Diminich for the win yet again at another farm feature dinner featuring our farm, this time at Grey’s Diner & Community Kitchen with chef Christian of Carnal

Chef did a fantastic job of creating beautiful dishes with our bok choy, radishes, and turnips. The kids enjoyed none of our vegetables and got a delicious must have— the cheeseburger + dessert, what can ya do? What a wonderful way to spend a Monday.

Chef Sam is always so kind and generous to say the least. What a talented dude that cares so much about community and getting the word out about farms and good food. Again, we are honored to be apart of his mission.

Good morning we’ve got some veggies and herbs coming at you at Matthews Community Farmers Market , rain or shine! Get out there from 8-12 and we’ll be there for your weekly supply of all the end of summer / early fall vegetables we can mustard up — see what I did there 😉 although, no false advertising here, we do not have spicy mix this week, but we do have arugula! Today is the day for CSA box no.1! It’s a ‘pepper palooza’ or Peter Piper picked a peck of CSA peppers?

Seriously, though, we loved a pickled banana pepper or stuffing the lunch box peppers with whipped feta. Add some basil and we are telling you— it’s a party fave.

Without further ado, what’s in the box?

- spicy mix (baby mustards)
- arugula (good for mixing in with basil for a pesto)
- basil
- garlic
- lunch box peppers
- 🫑 bell peppers
- banana peppers
- broccoli shoots
