Look at these two babies and their size difference. Both healthy and part of a litter of 4 kits. 2 big and 2 small kits. Looks like I have 2 bucks and 2 does, but I’ll confirm later because right now is just too early given their size. I’m a proud bunny momma

I usually do not post my silver foxes because of some sensitive viewers, but today I had to show this beauty. It’s 3 weeks old and I brought it inside to work with me for a little bit. It’s a real beauty.

A few months ago, I purchased three rabbits with pedigrees from a breeder in Lenoir. I was excited to bring them home, but I’ve had a few challenges along the way.

The two does were very difficult to handle. They would growl when I tried to pick them up, stomp hard, and charge at me. I understand that every rabbit is different, and some may need more time, patience, and socialization than others.

Because of the challenges I was having, I eventually found someone who said they had experience training and working with rabbits with temperament issues. They adopted two of the rabbits and promised to work with them and help improve their behavior.

I’m sharing my experience simply as a reminder to others to take their time when purchasing rabbits. A pedigree can provide valuable information, but it’s also important to ask about a rabbit’s temperament, handling history, and overall personality.

Before bringing a rabbit home, do your research, ask questions, and make sure the rabbit is a good fit for you.

Because at the end of the day, what good is a pedigree if the rabbit’s health, temperament, and quality of life are not given the same importance? 🐰❤️

These sweet bunnies are available in Concord. 4 woolies bucks (for those fun projects) one short hair buck and their Mom who is short hair. I also have a blue buck. Doe is about 12 months old, kits are 8 and 11 weeks old. Last but not least is my star pearl silver marten, she is a true dwarf. 1.5 years old and had two beautiful successful litters. I’m in concord NC.

These babies are so comfortable and peaceful. I think they hate me because I kiss them 3-5 times a day. This litter will be hard to let go of. 4 weeks old.

Pedigree ≠ Personality 🐰❤️

A pedigree can tell you where a rabbit came from. It can tell you about its lineage, genetics, and bloodlines.

But a piece of paper cannot tell you what kind of rabbit lives underneath it.

What good is a beautiful pedigree if the rabbit has an awful temperament—if it bites, scratches, is fearful, aggressive, or simply cannot be handled?

Give me a well-socialized, loving, gentle rabbit without a pedigree over a pedigreed rabbit with a terrible temperament any day.

A rabbit raised with patience, love, proper handling, and care can become an absolute joy to own. ❤️

At the end of the day, you’re not cuddling the pedigree—you’re cuddling the rabbit.

Choose temperament. Choose health. Choose responsible care. Choose a rabbit that has been raised with love.

Because a pedigree may prove lineage, but good care builds character. 🐰💕
