Sad day at the ranch today- some of our full grown trees (Ash) had to be taken down. We had treated them for the Emerald Ash Beetle a few years back but unfortunately they all died. And they needed to be removed before causing more problems.
We want to send a huge heartfelt thank you to the guys from Christ ,Coffee and Campfire that donated their time, energy and equipment to make this happen. Thank you! We sure do appreciate you all!

👉Starting our weekly meal prep.
Once thawed and seasoned we will sear and then slow bake these Amazing Akaushi Arm and Chuck Roasts.
Searing before baking can add a deeper and more complex flavor by creating a caramelized crust. Slow roasting allows, the connective tissue to break down , resulting in a tender and more flavorful dish.
Planned meals include-
1) Roast - with baked potatoes & carrots.
2) “Hash” fried potatoes ( I use gold or sweet potatoes) and cubed roast. Fry potatoes until almost done - add roast , onions garlic. Delicious one pan meal.
3) sheet pan meal- roast beets, potatoes and carrots when veggies are almost done stir in some cubed shredded beef to allow to warm through. ( can use any leftover potatoes or carrots from first meal 🙂
4) veggie / beef soup- I use our homemade beef broth - add in some mixed vegetables and shredded beef.
5) Galen’s favorite- grind any left over beef in food processor until fine- add your favorite salad dressing and seasonings to your liking, and serve on crackers or crusty bread - also makes an amazing sandwich.
And don’t forget to save those bones- stash in the freezer until it’s time to make broth. 😊

Roasts are currently on sale - 1.00 off per pound.
