We love sharing our go-to, favorite repeat recipes from our home! You’ve got to try this one, you won’t regret it!
Egg Roll in a Bowl
(4–6 servings)
• 1 lb package of David’s Pasture breakfast chicken sausage
• 2 medium onions, finely chopped
• 1½ Tbsp sesame oil
• 1½ tsp ginger, ground or fresh
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder (or 4 cloves garlic, minced)
• ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
• ½ cup chicken bone broth
• 9 cups shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)
• 1½ cups shredded carrots
• 4 tsp coconut aminos (or tamari/soy sauce to taste)
Directions:
Brown the meat in a large pan. In the same pan, cook onions in sesame oil over medium-high heat until lightly browned. Reduce heat to medium and stir in ginger, pepper, garlic, salt, and broth. Add cabbage and stir well to coat. Cook, stirring often, until cabbage softens slightly. Add carrots and cook 2–3 more minutes until tender. Finish with coconut aminos to taste or add more broth for more of a soup finish (as seen in this picture).
