Spread the Dry Blends
As our fruit trees begin to wake from their Winter slumber, it is time to set the soil up for a good growing season. Based on the soil tests taken last month we are amending the nutritional and conducive profile of the soil. The big things we focus on are pH stability, calcium, phosphorus, boron, magnesium, and zinc. Setting the soil up for success is critical because it gives the trees and microbes in the soil, a stable foundation to build themselves and the crop with.
Once the growing season gets started, the biweekly SAP analysis with will help guide the foliar and fertigation applications to fine tune the nutritional requirements of the trees.

Don’t Stop Picking 🍎
Today was a beautiful day to be out and about picking Winecrisp and Ambrosia apples! After a little more than a week of patience we finally have some other varieties ready to be picked! Timing for picking between varieties can be tricky. They don’t always line up cleanly.

This Sat and Sun from 10-4pm enjoy a self guided tour of the Skagit Valley and stop at all the official Festival of Family Farms. Free admission and parking, pumpkin patches, hands on events, farmer talks, hay rides, corn mazes and all the harvest goodies.

Bring the boots and head down to the farm ~ make it a Skagit Valley weekend!
