Park Square Market will be closing its doors on Saturday, April 19, 2025. We are deeply saddened by our need to make this decision.
We love local food and it had been a dream to be a bridge between local farms and makers and the folks in and around Confluence. Pope and I had talked about starting a farmer’s market or market for almost as long as we have lived here.
It has been a true honor meeting so many in our community and hearing the stories you’ve shared with us about yourself, the old Clover Farms store, and Confluence.
We ask that you continue to support the amazing local producers and makers we have been working with over the past two years. They include .farm Sechler Sugar Shack, Miller’s Sweet Treats, Fernwood soaps, Hanna House, SK Woodworking, Art of Seth and others.
Some of these products will be moving to Tissue Farm which opens for its 5th season tomorrow, April 4, at 7:30am.
Small and local business are actually the lifeblood of rural America. Without them there are only conglomerates who continue to undercut actual costs due to huge buying power.
Please support people and small businesses in our community who work hard to keep our small town vibrant.
And to the customer who said they would haunt the market if we closed…. me too. Me too.
