Times may change, but the struggles on the farm remain the same. Like the struggle of milking first fresheners in the 1930's hasn't changed in 2022! Here my Great Uncle Howard and Great Aunt Eva
are milking one of their Saanens. I have to remind myself that it's the hard that makes it great or everyone would do it.

Down to the home stretch for kidding season 2021 with only five more to freshen. Some of those are the special A.I. breedings! I have to admit that I really took on too much this time and will be reducing the herd significantly. 120 kids on the ground and boy am I tired!

Spring 2021 is going to be extra busy with probably too many goats bred, however with 2020 being such the disappointment I wanted to bring some excitement to the herd! So in addition to the great live sires used here this fall, there will be some kids from IVF A.I. breedings out of some of the great east coast Saanen bucks of the past including: SG Terra Rubra C Declaration, Starfire's PS Sno Navigator, Aspen Hill's Rain Beau, and SGCH Windsor-Manor SO Thunder! Thank you Joanna Ringer of Pallet Farms for all of your help and to Janice Kessler for providing the semen.

May 2020 born Nubian buckling. Very friendly and ready to start breeding the ladies. Can be ADGA registered and an application will accompany him at the time of sale. Lovely bloodlines, sire being Foxwood Jock's Gusto and dam 305-West Touche's Trifecta who was sired by Jacobs Pride Norman Rockwell. Raised CAE/CL negative in a long standing negative herd! Photos are of sire and dam for attention. Will get a current photo when it isn't raining outside.

Lots of activity this time of year!

A BEAR ALONG THE HOGBACK ROAD: This is beautiful photo captured by Amanda Lytle of a black bear romping along the Hogback Road and Ridge—even venturing into the Crossroads Cemetery in Harnedsville.
Other bears have been spotted on the Ramcat Hollow Road and Mae West Road.
