An Update from Black Stump Coffee

It’s with a heavy heart that we share some unfortunate news. Despite our best efforts to create a welcoming space for coffee lovers in the Congress community, Black Stump Coffee has faced some unexpected challenges with county regulations that have paused our journey before we could officially open our doors.

In the process of preparing our historic building—through careful painting, cleaning, and updating lights and fans—we were advised that additional permitting would be necessary to continue. We were also informed of structural concerns regarding the building’s roof, which was unexpected, as it has always withstood the elements over the years.

While this is certainly a setback, we are grateful for the community’s enthusiasm and encouragement throughout our journey. Your support has meant the world to us as we worked to bring this dream to life.

Thank you again for standing by us. We will keep you updated on any future plans as we navigate the next steps forward.

Black Stump Coffee Update ☕️

Renovating a 100+ year old hotel definitely has its ups and downs, and we’ve hit a bit of a bump in the road. 🏚️ We discovered some termite damage that needed repair before we could move our equipment in. While it's delayed our opening, we're still making progress and now anticipate being open in November.

We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work through these unforeseen circumstances. 🙏

We are beyond excited to introduce our latest addition to the Black Stump Coffee lineup: Desert Mirage 🌵✨.

This Ethiopian coffee features beautifully bright notes, perfectly complementing the rich flavors we love. It's a brew as captivating as a desert mirage, transporting you to a world of vibrant flavors with each sip.

While we’ve had a slight delay in some equipment (just a two-week setback), we are still making great progress and are on track for our grand opening in October! 🙌 Thank you for your continued support and patience—we can’t wait to serve you the finest, freshest coffee in Congress, AZ.
