Thank you MALT for working with us on this project! 40 of our 57 acres are permanently conserved for agriculture/equine use, meaning no development on the conserved acres!

We are proud to announce the permanent conservation of Steiger Farms—protecting 40 acres of scenic open space, wildlife habitat, and agricultural heritage in the heart of Conifer.

For years, this highly visible landscape near Highway 285 represented uncertainty for the community, as the parcel had once been considered for development—an outcome that could have dramatically changed the character of this important gateway to Conifer.

After months of pasture/fence maintenance, seeding, and tree clearing, we’re almost ready to put horses back on the summer pasture! And our paddock horses get to go back out this week after a 6 week hiatus. Spring fever is almost over (after maybe our last snow storm of the year tomorrow!)

We (Blaize) have been doing tons of fire mitigation around the ranch, clearing out lots of dead and downed trees. If anyone would like firewood (need a 4x4 truck), please reach out! The ponies have to wear little masks for a whole 10 minutes while the big horses eat their mashes, and it turns into a step brothers style argument every morning 😂
