Woodard Family Farm We are a local family that uses our God given talents to teach and provide good wholesome foods and skills for our family. Thank you for supporting us!

We are a local couple using the gifts God has given to us...Our homestead is our way of sharing our gifts with others, to be good stewards of Gods' blessings. We stay true to the authentic ways our grandparents and great-grandparents did things and pass that down to our children, family, and friends!

Question….have any of you grown beans for dry storage? I tested a variety this year (Flambo Italian) and just planted a couple of plants. I have no idea where the one black bean pod came from!
The hard part is leaving them on long enough to dry. And the second hardest part is having the space to grow enough to make it worth while. THEN how do you bean farmers keep your beans from falling out of the pods, all over the ground before you get to them?!
Well…This is my harvest. From two plants. And now there are 10 more growing in the bed. 🫣🤪

This graphic is from a farm I follow in VA. This is 100%true. Think about where your $$ goes, what you put on your body, how you steward what God has blessed you with. And please don’t bawk at what a small farm charges for wool or yarn. There are years of effort, care and love that go into every skein
