🇺🇸 Congratulations to our 2026 Patriot Jerky Patriotism Scholarship Winner! 🇺🇸
We are proud to announce that Bryce Corpening of South Caldwell High School is the recipient of our $1,000 Patriotism Scholarship!
Bryce’s essay deeply touched our hearts.
Growing up in a military family, he learned first hand what sacrifice, resilience, and true patriotism really mean. Here are some of the powerful words from his winning essay:

“Patriotism, to me, is not just about pride in one’s country, but about the willingness to serve and make sacrifices for something greater than oneself. I witnessed this first hand through my father’s commitment to his duty and the strength of my family in supporting him.”
“Growing up in a military family and participating in JROTC has taught me that patriotism is not always loud or visible. It is found in quiet sacrifices, in perseverance through difficult times, and in the commitment to stand for something bigger than yourself.”
“In my life, patriotism means carrying forward the values I was raised with — respect, responsibility, and service — and using them to better the world around me. It is not just something I believe in, but something I strive to live out every day.”

Lots of activities going on this weekend. Check out the Norman B Coley Foundation NormFest Friday night at the Conover Amphitheater and join us and Conover Community Partners for Movies in the park Saturday evening at the Conover Amphitheater. Get up early Saturday, check out the Conover Farmer's Market or take a short drive to Lenoir for The Heroes Among Us Cars and Coffee at Bo's in Lenoir at 8am.
