If anyone doesn’t have a backup plan for your freezer goods should the power go out for a while, I have my walk in freezer that I have space if anybody wants to bring food over and store it until after the power has been restored. We have backup power for the processor. Hate for anyone to lose deer meat or anything else. Come on over if you would like.

Once again we are completely full. Hopefully we can start again by Tuesday. And please I can’t take “just 1 more”. I hear that 10 times a day.

This is a post I really don’t like to do. Not to get into it but my Dad has had cancer for a while. He has made the decision to stop all treatments and let God take over. With that being said my family has decided that Stumphill will stop accepting deer December 18th so we can spend the holidays with my Mom and Dad and so he can meet his 7th Great Grandchild before it’s too late. I hope posting this early enough you can make other arrangements . Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks so much for your understanding. Meanwhile shoot straight and I’ll do the best I can getting all these deer processed in a timely manner.

Ok everyone, I’m finishing up here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend and then North Wilkesboro Speedway next weekend and then I’m done. I’ll be taking deer full time after that. Thanks for your patience but I was committed through North Wilkesboro.

After some long thought I have decided to open up this year. I won’t be opening until around the first on October because I work for a race team now and between them and our racing I’ll be gone the next few weekends. Thanks and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. This race season has been long and I will post the dates I’ll be closed because I have agreed to finish out the year with Rackley WAR and working with Keelan Harvicks. Thanks again and hope to see you again this year.

Once again we are filled up. I will not be taking any more deer for the remainder of the year. I have plenty to get done and need to be done by the middle of January to start building a racecar and getting my motor together. It has been a very trying year for me by far. With the lack of help and the amount of hours it takes to run a processor is overwhelming. I’m not getting any younger and with my legs being plated and pinned, it’s taken a toll on me. I’ve always done this because I enjoyed doing it but when the enjoyment has worn off it’s time to hang up the knives and do something different. So with that being said, at this time I don’t have any plans on opening for the 25-26 season. Unless something dramatic happens through the summer I will let everyone know. After 19 years I hate to do it but it’s not enjoyable anymore. The stress and hours isn’t good. Thank you to all the great customers and friends we’ve meet through the years has been great.

If y’all could please be a little patient about calling about your meat. It hasn’t gone anywhere and we will call you when it’s finished, I promise. Answering 10 calls a day asking how’s your coming ain’t going to get it done any faster. I’m working as fast as I can. It’s just me and most people know this. Nobody wants to work anymore.

Happy Thanksgiving! We are closed today and will reopen tomorrow at our normal hours, 9:00am to 8:00pm.

Well that didn’t take long. We are filled back up and no longer taking deer at this time.

We have finally got caught up and will be accepting deer tomorrow. Thanks for being patient but when it’s a 1 man show because of help then I can only go so fast. I have plenty of people to package but no cutters or skinners.
