John Wayne definitely wasn't no 'Soy-Boy'! πŸ’ͺ

It never ceases to amaze me how Big AG and the Government line their pockets while finding a way to disturb God's creations.

πŸ₯©Our meat wasn't full of soy and phytoestrogens. It came from our neighbors- not some foreign country.

πŸ„ Raw milk was just milk. A2A2 wasn't a marketing gimmick.

🌽 Farmers grew food that fed America, not a global supply chain.

πŸ₯š Pasture raised eggs were just eggs. They came chickens scratching around a families farm, not a factory floor.

πŸ«‘ Produce was just produce. It wasn't full of chemicals or engineered for shelf life.

Somewhere along the way, we stopped asking, "Is this how God created it?" And started asking, "How can we do it cheaper?"

If you're wanting to get back to the way things used to be, let Grace & Grain Meats help put the meat on your family's table with our quality pork and chicken!

It's my favorite time of year! When empty glass jars give me anxiety, so I head to the garden to fill them! πŸ˜‚

Canning season never ends here. Every month is Canuary. πŸ«™

Chow- Chow is definitely one of the easiest and most versatile recipes in my canning book! We love it on burgers, eggs, tuna salad, cottage cheese, sandwiches, fish, ice cream, bratwurst, chicken .. Ok maybe not ice cream. Everything but ice cream though! If you're looking for the perfect companion to add to your plate with your Grace & Grain Meats Non-GMO chicken or pork- this is it!

Don't overthink it! 10 cups of peppers. Banana peppers, green peppers, jalapenos, anaheim peppers... I sound like Bubba talking about shrimp πŸ˜‚. I just go to the garden and fill a bag with God's blessings. As long as you have 10 cups of peppers and 2 onions, you're set.

Sometimes I'll put everything on the smoker for a few hours to give it that smokey tang! 🌢️ Sometimes I get a little heavy handed with the sugar and toss a Scorpion pepper in there to see who wins the battle between sweet and heat πŸ”₯! Make it your own!

HOW CAN WE MAKE IT AFFORDABLE?

Non-GMO and Soy-Free meat shouldn't be considered a 'luxury item' that our friends and neighbors struggle to justify in today's economy. It should be an affordable option for those who want to put the best on their family's table.

We worked with a nutritionist last year to help us develop a custom hog ration that met our needs, while cutting costs, and without sacrificing quality. Let's make it more affordable!

How's it taste? Who cares how healthy something is if it doesn't have the flavor? The proof was on the plate, and this pork far exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and flavor. The results are in, and the taste was incomparable!

Big thank you to Walnut Hill Feeds Mercer County for providing us with amazing service and the very best ingredients, so that we can ensure you're getting the very best on your plate.

Let us know if you'd like to be on the list for our next batch! We will have updated pricing available for our Winter butcher date very soon! We appreciate all the support and positive feedback! Our Winter butcher date is with Winner's Meats in Osgood, OH!

"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your produce." β€” Proverbs 3:9

God is good, all the time!

Everything we have is a gift from Himβ€”from every healthy hog that makes it to the butcher, to every customer who chooses to feed their family with our meats. Scripture reminds us that we are called to honor God with what He has entrusted to us, to be faithful stewards of His blessings, and to give with cheerful hearts.

The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30) reminds us that God expects us to faithfully use what He has placed in our care. One day, we will each give an account of how we used the blessings, opportunities, and resources He entrusted to us. One day, He will ask us what we did with our blessings!!

As a small way of giving thanks this year, we were called to give back a portion of what God has so generously provided. Through the help of our home parish Our Lady of Fatima Family of Parishes - Ohio, we learned about the Transfiguration Center for Spiritual Renewal! A retreat center and home for retired priests of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

These faithful priests have spent their lives serving Christ and His Church. What an amazing sacrifice. It was a privilege to support a ministry that continues to care for those who have dedicated their lives to caring for others. If you're looking for a meaningful way to tithe, I'm sure they would love your support!

We pray this encourages others to trust in God's word, to give generously, and to remember that every blessing we receive ultimately comes from Him. We are incredibly grateful for every customer who has supported our family farm this year. Because of your support and prayer, we have been blessed with the opportunity to bless others.

"Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name give glory because of your mercy and faithfulness." β€” Psalm 115:1

At a recent event, a gentleman came up and asked if we minded that he smelled our feed samples. I said, "Of course not, that's why it's there"

In fact, I was glad he took the time to smell our feed, why?

πŸ‘ƒ The nose knows!

When was the last time you stopped and really sniffed your animal feed?

It might sound strange, but your animals do it every day.

Fresh feed should smell sweet, clean, and alive. You can often pick up the aroma of whole grains, roasted ingredients, and natural oils. As feed ages, those aromas fade. Fats begin to oxidize, nutrients slowly degrade, and the feed becomes less appealing to the animals eating it.

Why does that matter?

Because animals are naturally drawn to fresh, palatable feed. Their nose is the first signal for what they should or should not be eating. Feed that smells and tastes good encourages hearty, consistent intake, which supports better growth, body condition, egg production, milk production, and overall health.

Think about it this way: would you rather eat a fresh baked loaf of bread or one that's been sitting on the shelf for weeks? How different do those two loaves smell?

Your chickens, horses, goats, pigs, and cattle feel the same way.

That's one reason we're passionate about producing fresh feed and clearly dating our bags. Feed isn't meant to sit in a warehouse indefinitely. The closer it is to the day it was made, the more enjoyable it is for your animals, and the more nutritional value they'll to receive.

Next time you open a bag of feed, take a moment and smell it.
Your nose might tell you more than the label ever could.
