Our Easter Bunnies are ready and REARING to go! 😁
We have TWENTY, so please. Yeah. Take one or three!

All our rabbits are TAMU-K's which are a very versatile hybrid - "Bred in Texas for Texas" so you can be sure you're getting the Ford of Rabbits.

We have a range of colors and coats, as TAMU-K's come in many shades (and sizes we've come to find out) though my personal favorite is the chubby bum with the curled ears. 💖

Male - $30
Female - $35
Trio - $90 (one male, two females, and a little discount for you)

Craigslist link pinned in profile!

God bless and have a Wonderful Easter week!

Looking for food security? A few breeding rabbits is definitely the answer. We use ours as a chicken meat replacement so we can just keep egg layers and eventually not have to buy chicken from the store!

Rabbits are a much cheaper keep than chickens and honestly between the pig, chickens, and rabbits, our TAMU-K's are our favorite farm animals. They are friendly and calm and just honestly a joy to care for. Our boys love the babies and if it's more of a pet you're wanting, they are wonderful companions as well - if you don't mind a cat sized rabbit friend.

I believe we have two or three girls left and four boys, David's aunt also breeds TAMU-K's and we may even be able to work out a breeding pair between us.

God bless and have a wonderful day!

It's sick day at the Oswalt house. We're all here lying around like a bunch of potatoes. I was just sharing my recipe for bone broth the other day and thought hey, might as well post it up here too.
Whether your sick or healthy bone broth's a gooood sippin'. I've been stewing a pot all day and we're looking forward to some homemade chicken noodles for dinner time. 🤗

I'm a little late posting but THANK YOU to our friends, family, and everyone who came out to the market Saturday. It was a good hot day. David's always picking up my slack and he did such an amazing job while I mostly took care of Arty. He's such a cute salesmen. For now we're going to try to do one market weekend a month and maybe list a few things here for local sale in between.
I'm really happy with the food items we have and our honey was a big hit (it's good y'all) but, I think I'm ready to start tinkering with some non-food goods. On David's list is: Beard oil, old fashioned hair gel, toy cars, wooden rifles, or wooden teether animals.
And Mine is; diaper rash cream (pure magic), aprons, knit bonnets/hats, beeswax blend candles, and tea towels.
Where should we start?

Our Plum Jam is the first to get dressed up for the big day tomorrow - yup. We decided, very last minute, that this Saturday would be our first market day and we have been scrambling to get all our ends tied up. So please, if you're looking for a nice way to spend a hot day consider popping on by at the Main street Markets in Downtown Conroe We'll be there from 10-2 and there's so many other great vendors as well.
We have this weekend; a small assortment of Jams, Creamed/Spun Honey from the family hives in Regular and Cinnamon, and my own recipe of Cane Sugar Syrup (which we all really loved)
We'll also have a few boxes of Cupcakes from the sweet hands of my sweet mother in law - which may include PUMPKIN. 🎃🍁🍂🍃
But I'm not putting out any spoilers or anything!

I've scoured the internet for recipes, Victorian cookery books, household magazines, had a pretty good time reading these but still came up empty handed for a syrup recipe. I found a few using brown sugar and butter but I wanted a more economical, simpler, shelf stable product. I was invisioning pure cane syrup with a kick of molasses and the slightest hint of vanilla. The intention of Ozgood's is to make products that are the closest to how these women reading 1879 cookery books would have made them. After consulting our late night taste testers and doing the all important pancake test this morning - I think we have it. A malty sweet syrup that made a surprisingly satisfying bacon pancake sandwich. 🥞🥓🥞🥓

I've been waiting to post here until I had a picture of us to share, but my hands have been so full that all I have as visual aid is one of our lovely Wyandotte chickens. Simple enough I suppose, hopefully she will contribute to some Ozgood's eggs sometime soon.
I wanted to share more about what Ozgood's is, hopefully without getting too ahead of myself. Our hope for Ozgood's is to slowly, over time, build a small family grocery. We are starting small with specialty honeys spun from our own hives, old fashioned jams (aka fruit, sugar and NOTHING else), I would like to make some table syrup and bread as well but at the moment I'm still Jamming - yesterday was blueberry and still on the list for this week is plum!
My heart's desire for Ozgood's is that, God willing, as it grows we could supply not only ourselves but others with grocery store staples at fair and honest prices. From soaps, cleaners, dish towels, hand knits, toys, produce, herbs, tea, our list goes on.
What are your grocery store staples?
And would you like non-toxic, natural alternatives?

Hey y'all, welcome to the Ozgood's very empty page! We have been working constantly gearing up to pitch our own tent at the Main street Market in Downtown Conroe. I have been so busy making jams and caring for babies that I have taken zero pictures. But as we're nearing our mid August goal I wanted to share a little bit about us, Ozgood's, and what we've got coming.
Please like, share, and stay tuned for updates on the grocery!
God bless you, everyone. 💓🙏
